As we know Apple Clips is a mobile video editing software application created by Apple Inc. It was released onto the iOS App Store on April 6, 2017, for free. It is only available on 64-bit devices running iOS 13.0 or later. Apple describes it as an app for “making and sharing fun videos with text, effects, graphics, and more.”

So Apple today updated its Clips video creation application to version 3.1, introducing support for LiDAR scanners on the iPhone 12 Pro and the 2020 and 2021 iPad Pro models.

With the new AR space function, users can scan a room and then use immersive visual effects to change their space. These effects match the outline of the room.

With the AR space function in Clips 3.1, users can easily scan a room, see the effect of real-time preview, and bring dynamic lighting, falling objects, and immersive scenes to life. Using the rear camera on a supported iPhone or iPad, users will see effects appearing on walls, floors, surfaces, furniture, and objects.

There are seven AR space effects:

  • Prism. The rainbow light strip scans the walls, floors, and objects in the room.
  • Confetti. Celebratory confetti fell and piled up on the surface.
  • disco. The shining lights reflect on the disco ball hanging from the ceiling of the space.
  • Dance floor. Colorful light bricks dance on the floor.
  • Shining light. Golden glitter emoji and white glitter fill the entire space.
  • Stardust. The magical starlight trail surrounds and follows the people in the video.
  • Heart-shaped. The floating heart-shaped balloon bubbled up in the space.

Clips have all of Apple’s most advanced AR tools, which can recognize people in videos and project AR space effects in front of and behind the people.

AR space can be enhanced with animated stickers, text labels, and emoji overlays, and the resulting videos can be recorded in various aspect ratios and transmitted to social media sites.

Apple said that in the future, Clips will be updated once a month, with new filters, dynamic titles, text, stickers, and posters “related to seasonal events and cultural trends”. With the release of version 3.1, users can choose to join Notifications to get reminders when there is new content.

Samsung vs Apple

According to a report in South Korea’s “Asia Daily,” the South Korean smartphone market, which is regarded as Samsung’s “home,” is undergoing new changes. Apple entered the second half of the year with a market share of less than 20%. Later, it became more aggressive, and its presence in the Korean market increased significantly.

According to data from Stat Counter, a website traffic statistics service, the iPhone’s share of the Korean smartphone market increased from 27.28% in June to 34.1% in September.

On the other hand, Samsung’s market share has been declining. The market share fell from 66.11% in June to 63.98% in July and 59.47% in August, from 66.11% in June to 63.98% in July and 59.47% in August. In September, the decline continued, and its market share fell to 58.38%. South Korea’s domestic market for Samsung This is the first time the percentage has dropped below 60%.

Prior to 2020, Apple’s market share in South Korea was less than 20%. Due to LG Electronics’ announcement to close its mobile phone business last year, Apple’s market share in South Korea surpassed 20% for the first time, but it has remained stable for several years. 60-70% of Samsung Electronics is still different.

TelegramAccording to the report, Samsung’s Game Optimization Service (GOS) sparked outrage earlier this year by artificially slowing down some of its devices, while Apple gradually increased purchase subsidies for older iPhone models, propelling the iPhone’s market share in South Korea to more than 30% for the first time.

The industry predicts that Apple’s market share will increase further in the fourth quarter, owing to the release of the iPhone 14 series. Furthermore, in South Korea, Apple has opened four Apple Stores.

Samsung recently reduced the ex-factory price of the Galaxy S21 series and increased the purchase subsidy for the latest folding screen smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 4 by 100,000 won on the original basis, in an attempt to consolidate the market by playing the “price card” Advantage.

The Galaxy S23 series, Samsung’s flagship smartphone, is expected to be released early next year. The entire series is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and support 25W wired fast charging.

Lock Screen Customization

Apple released the iPhone 14 series earlier this month, which includes the iOS 16 operating system. In addition, Samsung has made the One UI 5.0 operating system compatible with Android 13 available to eligible devices. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are now available with new lock screen customization and the Dynamic Island feature. On the other hand, One UI 5.0 beta 3 includes lock screen customization for Galaxy S22 series users.

Meanwhile, the Smart Island feature has been made available to Android users via third-party applications such as dynamicSpot, and it is fully functional on Android devices. The lock screen customization, on the other hand, has arrived for Galaxy S22 users with the One UI 5.0 beta update and is very similar to the iOS 16 lock screen customization.

According to Twitter tipster TechDroider, the custom Samsung lock screen process in the One UI 5 Beta 3 system is similar to Apple’s iOS 16. Samsung currently offers five different clock styles, whereas Apple offers eight. The user can also change the color of the clock in both operating systems.

Take a Look:

We discovered that when it comes to adding new wallpapers, both operating systems offer background collections that are highlighted in a similar manner. While Apple provides both built-in and third-party widgets, Samsung currently only provides widget icons for notifications.

Following the release of the iPhone 14/Pro series, Samsung mocked Apple for being out of touch with the concept of folding screens, large-pixel cameras, and so on.

DXOMARK announced the proactive test score of Apple's iPhone 14 Pro: the total score is 145, ranking first in the list

Apple recently released four new devices into the market: the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. But now, users of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are reporting that the device restarts automatically when they plug it into the charger.

Some Apple iPhone 14 Pro users have reported that the iOS 16 battery drains quickly, but this may not be the most serious issue. Some customers are now reporting that when charging via MagSafe or Lightning, their iPhone devices restart intermittently.

Some users complained on Reddit that the iPhone 14 Pro was randomly restarting while charging. This problem has been present for 8 days, and it includes charging with a MagSafe or Lightning cable.

Another user stated that the iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 16.0.1 restarts every 10-20 minutes while charging. We learned that some other people have reported that the problem persists even on iOS 16.0.2 or iOS 16.1 Beta.

According to one user, “This only happens when the battery is charged at 90-95% (especially 93%) and the phone is idle. So far, the only thing that can be done (as of now two late without reboot) is to disable background app refresh.”

Those experiencing this issue should return their iPhone within 14 days and purchase another or request a replacement at your local Apple Store.
