Huawei shared the EMUI/Magic UI October 2021 security patch information

Recently, the Chinese tech giant Huawei has covered the 120 million users under the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. This big number only comes in China while other regions are yet to be included in this list. To recall, the company has launched its self-developed operating system – HarmonyOS 2.0 on June 02, 2021, and soon after, it began providing stable and beta versions to its users.
Aside from HarmonyOS 2.0, the company has also provided the EMUI/ Magic UI based monthly security patch update to its users in China and other regions. Following this, the company will soon release the next month’s (October 2021) security patch update to its compatible devices while the company has given details about the October 2021 security patch update ahead of rollout.
According to the information, the October 2021 security patch update includes the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). This security update includes the CVE announced in the September 2021 security bulletin. It includes 1 Critical, 27 High and 2 Medium levels of CVE’s.
As per the old records, the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) system keeps track of publicly known security flaws and exposures in publicly distributed software.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro Getting EMUI 13 Beta and New Upgrade

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for its flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, in global markets. The update, labeled with EMUI build version 12.0.0.315, includes the latest March 2023 EMUI security patches to enhance the phone’s safety. The update is approximately 479 megabytes in size and comes in two packages.
Notably, the second package appears to focus on system stability improvements, which could be an indication that the Mate 30 Pro is being prepared for the upcoming EMUI 13 beta testing. However, it’s worth mentioning that the beta project for the Mate 30 Pro may not be launched immediately, as other Huawei devices, such as the P40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro, are also in line for testing. It’s also possible that all three devices could enter the EMUI 13 beta program together.
Huawei has released a software update for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, which focuses on improving system security by integrating the latest security patches released in March 2023. It’s important to note that this update will not delete any personal data, but it’s always a good practice to back up important data before proceeding with any software update. If any issues arise during the update process, users can contact the Huawei customer hotline or visit a Huawei customer service center for assistance. Once the update is complete, the update package will be automatically deleted.

Huawei has started rolling out its new security patch update for the device Huawei P Smart Pro. Huawei’s new security patch update has been rolled out to provide better security to the device, with this update you will be eligible for EMUI 12 beta process.

Huawei Y8p is getting January 2022 Security Patch Update Based on EMUI

Huawei has started rolling out the new firmware update for the Huawei Y8p smartphone users. The latest update is based on Huawei’s Emotion – UI EMUI 10.1 and the device users now receive the new build number 10.1.0.211.
The latest software update for the Huawei Y8p smartphone has come with a new January 2022 security patch that protects your device from unknown bugs and other threats. Notably, this firmware update is being distributed in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device. However, once you receive notification of this EMUI version, please download it.
Furthermore, there is good news for the Huawei Y8p smartphone users which is related to the new EMUI 12 version, the device is eligible for the EMUI 12 major update and the Y8p smartphone users will get the directly EMUI 12 version over the EMUI 11. The EMUI 12 update includes a number of new features, such as an improved user interface, additional functions, and new animations, all of which improve your user experience.
However, the Chinese tech giant Huawei has not made any information about the EMUI 12 rollout for the Huawei Y8p smartphone and we are still waiting for the official roadmap, but we can expect the Huawei Y8p smartphone users will get this new version before the first half of 2022.
