Galaxy S22 One UI 5.0 beta

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has now started rolling out the first One UI 5.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22 series users based on Android 13. Although we have been waiting for this update since the third week of July, but Samsung fans aren’t too disappointed because they only had a short delay and got the test of new functions.

The latest One UI 5.0 beta update carries the new features for users such as the new UI changes, cosmetic improvements, security enhancement and much more. The first firmware update is now available for the German Galaxy S22 series users, with the build number S90xBXXU2ZHV4.

Galaxy S22 series receives One UI 5.0 beta update based on Android 13 in German markets:

To begin with, the initial beta is exclusively available to German users; however, other regions will soon be able to participate. The report was corroborated by German users who received the One UI 5.0 beta upgrade and posted screenshots.

Following the screenshots, you can see the access screen to the beta program in the first image; the screen of a Galaxy S22 downloading the update in the second image; and the huge changelog (albeit in the German language) of the news that the update introduces on the smartphone, in this case, a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, in the third image.

TelegramWhat are the features received by the Galaxy S22 series users:

Samsung has not yet provided a complete list of One UI 5.0’s new features. The company probably has a lot to say about it during its Unpacked event the following week. This week should see the arrival of the official announcement of the beta program’s launch.

According to the recent changelog, the notification center has received several upgrades, including bigger app icons and more backdrop opacity, with the upcoming major update from Samsung.

The look of the app permission pop-up menu has also been altered to match standard Android 13. Optical Character Recognition has been added to the UI in One UI 5.0. The native Gallery app may now easily share photographs with text removed thanks to this. With One UI 5.0, Samsung has also increased the animations’ speed and smoothness. The transitions will seem more seamless as a result.

As the beta program goes on, additional modifications, particularly fresh features, could be made public. Samsung plans to make One UI 5.0 available to the general public by October of this year. It’s unclear if that will be the case given Google’s delays with Android 13.

Meanwhile, the other Samsung devices will soon be added to the One UI 5.0 beta program. Also, we expect the initial build to shortly be released for the Galaxy S22 smartphones in additional markets.

According to some tech enthusiasts, Samsung is testing the OneUI 5.1 version update for three Galaxy S20 models in India, and the One UI 5.1 test firmware is available on the G980FXXUFHWA1 firmware server.

We learned that the Samsung Galaxy S20 series received Android 13 / OneUI 5.0 system update pushes in November last year. OneUI 5.1 is also based on the Android 13 system, but will further optimize system performance and improve operational stability. At SDC 2022, Samsung showcased various new features and personalization tools. Due to unknown reasons, many features are not available in the One UI 5.0 update, but in OneUI 5.1, many new features including the new lock screen tool will be provided.

The Galaxy S20 is equipped with the Android 10-based OneUI 2.1 system at the beginning of its launch. Samsung promises to provide three major version updates for the machine, so OneUI 5.1 can be said to be an icing on the cake update.

Samsung began its One UI 5.0 beta journey with the Galaxy S22 series, and many Galaxy smartphones have since joined the party. However, the most well-known flagship Galaxy S22 series has become the first device to reach the closest race track for a stable update. According to reports, Samsung has begun distributing the latest or One UI 5.0 beta 5 update for the Galaxy S22 series.

TelegramGalaxy S22 One UI 5.0 beta 5 update removes Bixby Text Call and fixes a number of bugs:

According to Samsung’s official changelog, the company has fixed a number of bugs, including those that caused the Galaxy Watch plugin to be forcibly closed, camera autofocus failure and subpar image quality, and phone restarts.

Additionally, the new One UI 5.0 beta 5 firmware resolves a problem that prevented users from adding fingerprints. The absence of the phone unlock sound was another issue that some people brought up, but Samsung has now addressed it in the most recent update.

Furthermore, incomplete wallpaper, the absence of the Close All option in the multitasking menu, and the app is forced to close when editing images were among the other issues. The voice was also loud even after the call volume was reduced. These problems have been fixed.

According to Samsung, the new One UI 5.0 beta 5 update no longer includes the Bixby Text Call feature. The last week announced Bixby Text Call feature employs AI to translate voice (during the call) to text and displays it on the screen. The user can then reply to the caller by typing a text, and Bixby will translate that text into audio and transmit it to the caller. In this manner, a user can participate in a voice call without speaking or listening.

Additionally, reports state that the new One UI 5.0 beta version has smoother animations. The frame drops appear to have diminished, and the animations are comparable to those of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 running One UI 4.1.1.
