Google has a lot of powerful and helpful services to provide, but it’s at its finest when it can get them to interact seamlessly with one another, resulting in subtle but major changes in the daily experience of using them, and that’s exactly what happened with Google recently, Gboard keyboard and a Google translator.
Gboard’s language is automatically set with Google Translate:
The novelty we’re talking about is both simple and quite useful: the Google Translate app for Android has been upgraded and now works seamlessly with Gboard: when the user selects a language to translate, the keyboard instantly switches to that language to make typing easier and avoid errors.
This tighter connectivity between the two Google services is especially useful when you’re typing in a language that isn’t your device’s default. The screenshots below are worth far more than a thousand words:

The default languages on the smartphone in this case are Italian and English; by launching Google Translate and translating between these two languages, the primary language is automatically set, and if you switch languages, the keyboard does the same.
In the third screenshot, Chinese was selected as the source language, and Gboard translated it quickly. Gboard, of course, reverts to the device’s default languages after Translator is closed.

The above-mentioned helpful novelty was discovered on an Android 11 smartphone with the Gboard software updated to the newest beta and Google Translate updated to the latest stable release, namely 6.33 dated March 29, 2022.
