According to the report of the Chinese media, Huawei has recently applied for the registration of the “Kirin Processor” trademark and the news has suggested that the application date for the trademark is April 22, 2021.
As per the publisher report, the international classification draws under 9 scientific instruments and the current status application for registrations.
According to this, the Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is still working on its self-developed processor without co-operating any other chip maker. Also, the company is trying to research something new from the Chip division. The company is still going with its HiSilicon processor and no one can deny or ignore the chip design expertise of HiSilicon.
In the previous month, Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said that there is no place to process any of HiSilicon’s chips. As part of Huawei’s chip design, it is not a profitable company, and Huawei has no profit demand for it.
Now the company is focusing on the research of the new chips with the HiSilicon team and the company is aiming to work on that processor for a long time which helpful for the company’s growth.

Now according to the report, Huawei is now developing a next-generation chip for its devices with the name of Kirin 9010. As per the news, it is expected that the chip is built with a 3nm process, and the design is expected to be completed this year.
However, TSMC’s 3nm process is still immature. It is reported that the process is not expected to be mass-produced until 2022. Combined with the currently unremoved US ban, Huawei’s latest generation of Kirin 9010 will take some time to wait. Huawei has some plenty of time.
