New One UI 8.5 Wallpapers Available for Download

Samsung is making its next update, One UI 8.5. It will have better speed and smart features, but a small, pretty design change is also getting attention. The update has a new picture on the “Software Update” screen that you can save and use as your wallpaper.
Samsung has completely revamped the Software Update page in One UI 8.5. It replaces the former plain design with a colorful and modern one. This new look, defined by its soft gradients and circular forms, offers a serene and tidy feel, closely mirroring the default wallpaper style of the Galaxy A-series.
Many users think the new banner looks like a great wallpaper. Now you can download the high-quality image and set it as your home or lock screen background. Enjoy the new design before the official update even arrives.

It’s a small tweak, but it tells us Samsung is focused on giving One UI a more refined and contemporary feel. They’ve also switched to a card-style layout on the update screen, which makes everything look cleaner and easier to read.
One UI 8.5 will likely debut with the Galaxy S26 in early 2026 before reaching older models. If you’re curious, you can get a sneak peek now by using the new banner as your wallpaper. It’s a fun way to try a piece of the update early.

5 Samsung Watches That Will Soon Lose Software Support

Samsung will discontinue official support for at least five of its older wearable devices in 2026. This means these watches will no longer receive software updates or security patches.
Samsung is cutting off key services for five Tizen watches. An official notice states that both the Galaxy Store and Galaxy Wearable apps will soon stop working on these devices entirely.
“Watching a trusted device become obsolete is always disappointing. While this end-of-support cycle is an unavoidable part of the tech industry, Samsung’s support lifespan still remains more generous than many competitors.

In accordance with the announcement, the following Tizen-powered models are subject to this support termination: Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, Gear S3, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Watch3. This revision excludes all Wear OS-based devices, such as the Galaxy Watch4 and subsequent releases.
The end of support for these apps is critical. The Galaxy Store is essential for downloading apps, while Galaxy Wearable connects the watch to a phone. Without them in 2026, users will lose significant functionality.
The ability to download content on older Tizen watches will be terminated on January 1, 2026. You have until then to update and download your favorite apps before the service is barred.
If you’re still using a Tizen smartwatch, don’t panic. Your downloaded apps will remain functional as long as you don’t remove them. However, they will no longer receive updates or new features.
Samsung announced, “We ceased using Tizen OS after the Galaxy Watch3 in 2020. As a result, and in accordance with the Galaxy Store’s service operation policy, support will be available only until December 2025.
