The company has officially detailed a new Control Center toggle that lets the system intelligently switch between the high-bandwidth of NearLink and the broad compatibility of Bluetooth, creating a single, unified wireless experience.
In accordance with the previous details, the HarmonyOS 6.0 NearLink & Bluetooth switch will show up in the Control Center. It merges two different features into one tab.
Earlier, the functions of this feature were unclear. But Huawei revealed the details of this NearLink + Bluetooth button. The company mentioned the following points:

30M Devices Expected to Run HarmonyOS 5.0 by 2025

With 17 million installations already recorded, HarmonyOS 5.0 is on track to reach 30 million units by the end of 2025. Recent leaks indicate the self-developed platform is gaining traction due to its smarter, safer capabilities.
A new leak from Weibo user @BeijingDigitalMaster suggests HarmonyOS 5.0 has already reached around 18 million installations, with a forecast to exceed 30 million devices by the end of 2025.
This growth is achievable thanks to the software’s constant enhancements and new features. In recent months, the company has added numerous useful functions to significantly improve the user experience.
That suggests the HarmonyOS ecosystem has entered a crucial stage of large-scale development. It focuses on offering the best performance of the device and enhancing the privacy, imaging, and AI segments for users
In accordance with Zhu Yonggang, President of Huawei Mobile Cloud Service, HarmonyOS is designed to bring comprehensive innovation to China’s tech industry. He made this statement during the Huawei Connect 2025 event.

HarmonyOS
The primary goal is to break the Android-iOS duopoly in the Chinese market, thereby helping consumers reduce their reliance on foreign products. Beyond this domestic focus, the company is also eyeing the global expansion of HarmonyOS for its wearables and smart handsets.
HarmonyOS once again pushed iOS to the second position in the Chinese smartphone OS market. Now it aims to challenge Android’s share in the competition.
Zhu Yonggang said:
“The rapid growth of the HarmonyOS ecosystem is a collective charge forward for collaborative innovation across China’s technology industry. Huawei, together with our partners and developers, is making the impossible a reality.”
