Huawei’s October 2025 EMUI Update Reaches New Flagships
Huawei is delivering performance enhancements and security fixes for a wide array of devices this October. The latest EMUI update is now available for flagship models from the Nova 13 and Pura 70 lines, as well as the older P50 Pocket. Watch users are also receiving new software improvements.
Huawei Nova 13 Pro users can now download the device’s first global update. The October 2025 EMUI patch arrives as version 14.2.0.150, with a software package size of 305MB.
At the same time, the Pura 70 series is receiving the new security rollout via EMUI 14.2.0.222 build. P60 Pro is in the same update list, but versions vary: P60 Pro grabs the firmware with EMUI 14.2.0.183 version.
A few old flagship phones, like the P50 Pocket and the Mate X3 foldable, have obtained the new October 2025 update with the EMUI 14.2.0.183 build version and around 350 Megabytes of software package.

The security rollout also reaches key wearables. The Huawei Watch Ultimate, Watch Ultimate Green, and GT 5 Pro are getting a new HarmonyOS version with stability and security improvements this month.
These updates are being deployed gradually and may not be immediately available on all eligible devices in the global market. We recommend periodically checking the update section on your device to download the latest software version.
In the smartphone arena, Huawei is concentrating on the Mate 80 series in China, with a specific “Air” variant to challenge the iPhone Air and Samsung S25 Edge. For its watches, a new purple color for the Watch Ultimate 2 looks fantastic, but a global release is not yet certain.

Huawei Nova 15 to feature advanced camera tech.
Nova 15 launch alert! Huawei’s plan includes a full-stack camera system for all you photographers. In accordance with a new leak, the Huawei Nova 15 series will feature a consistent 50MP RYYB super-sensing camera across all models, guaranteeing a uniform, high-end photographic experience for every user.
A further upgrade is the inclusion of variable aperture, which improves low-light performance and bokeh effects by physically changing the lens opening. This represents a potential departure from past strategy, as this advanced feature was only found on Pro and Ultra models before, leaving the standard model with a fixed aperture—a limitation the Nova 15 may overcome.
The Nova 15 series will also see an upgrade to its Red Maple primary color imaging technology. A notable enhancement for the Pro and Ultra models is a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a significant increase from the 8MP sensor used in previous models. Furthermore, these two higher-end phones will continue to feature the 12MP RYYB telephoto lens for zoom photography.

Huawei Nova 15
Huawei will equip its three devices with a mix of flat and curved screens, powered by a new Kirin chipset designed to deliver a superior user experience. Furthermore, the imaging system is slated for enhancements, specifically improving AI selfies, color composition, and other photographic features.
The Huawei Nova 15 devices will pack large 6000mAh batteries with 100W super-fast wired charging. Furthermore, the entire series—Nova 15, Pro, and Ultra—will feature two-way satellite communication for enhanced utility.
