The debut of the new Galaxy S21 FE, which is already on sale in Italy as well, has been made official, it’s time to pay more attention to the new Samsung Galaxy S22 in just a few weeks. The new top of the range from Samsung will, in fact, debut next February, further renewing the company’s smartphone offering. In the past few hours, the rumors about the new Galaxy S22 and especially the Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship have multiplied.
The latest leak has enough room to analyze the photographic sector of the new S22 Ultra, which, apart from four high-end sensors, will be able to rely on some special elements. It should also be noted that Samsung is once again preparing to introduce fast charging from 45 W, which should find a place among the specifications of the new flagship. Here are the latest updates coming.
The future Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra aims to raise the bar once again, in particular with regard to the photographic sector. The smartphone will be able to count on four rear cameras which, as confirmed by the renders that have appeared in recent weeks, will not be enclosed in a separate module from the rest of the rear body. The main sensor of the new S22 Ultra will be a 108 Megapixel (f / 1.8) sensor with OIS and PDAF.
This sensor, on whose performance a large part of the judgment of the photographic sector of the new Korean top of the range will depend, will be flanked by an ultra-wide-angle sensor from 12 Megapixel (f / 2.2) with Dual Pixel AF. To complete the equipment of the smartphone we will find a 10 Megapixel telephoto lens (f / 2.4) with 3x optical zoom, Dual Pixel AF and OIS, and a second 10 Megapixel telephoto lens (f / 4.9) with 10x optical zoom, Dual Pixel AF and OIS.
Among the latest rumors about the new S22 Ultra is the presence of the Super Clear Glass that will protect the main 108 Megapixel sensor. This is special protection in Gorilla Glass DX also used by the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. In this way, the sensor should benefit from a high level of protection. Super Clear Glass shouldn’t be offered on the S22 and S22 +.
Recall that the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, as confirmed by recent leaks, will be able to count on a 6.8-inch diagonal display with QHD + resolution (3080 x 1440 pixels) and Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. The Exynos 2200 SoC will be supported by 8 / 12GB of RAM, 128/256 / 512GB of storage and a 5,000mAh battery. The overall mass of the smartphone will be approximately 228 grams. Four colors are expected on the market: Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Burgundy.
There will also be fast charging
As previously pointed out, the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 5,000 mAh battery. This is probably a slightly underpowered capacity for the huge 6.8-inch display. For users who choose the new Ultra variant of the S22 range, however, there will be the expected support for fast charging, an element that is certainly not obvious for Samsung’s smartphones.
In fact, in recent years, the Korean house has not followed a very specific line with regards to support for fast charging for its flagships. In particular, there was a certain indecision between the 25 W charging support and the 45 W charging. The only smartphones that went up to 45 W , in fact, were the Galaxy Note 10+ and the Galaxy 20 Ultra. . In the meantime, however, competitors from the Android world continue to accelerate the recharging of their flagships.
The latest information on the charging specs of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is positive. Samsung is about to launch the new 45W charger (model EP-T4510) which future S22 Ultra owners will be able to purchase as an (probably expensive) add-on. The new charger should be the ideal choice to make the most of the fast charging of the new S22 Ultra which, therefore, could be just 45 W.
Thus, using the new charger, the Galaxy S22 Ultra (but also the new S22 +) will need just 20 minutes to go from 0 to 70% battery charge. In the near future, the 45W charging could become a reference for all Galaxy S smartphones. On this matter, as well as on all the other specifications of the new Korean flagships, we will know more in the coming weeks. The debut of the S22 range is expected, we recall, at the beginning of February.
