Huawei Mate 80

Huawei is getting ready to launch its new high-end phone, the Mate 80 series, and it’s focusing a lot on making the main camera much better. They’re working on some special changes to the camera system that could make photos and videos look even more amazing than before.

Get ready for impressive photos and videos from the Huawei Mate 80! DigitalChatStation has shared details about big upgrades to the main camera, suggesting that this new phone will take much better pictures than past generations.

For the Mate 80 series, Huawei seems to be developing a unique camera system. A new 50-megapixel main camera lens, with a size of 1/1.28 inches and an advanced variable aperture feature, is likely to be a key part of this customized setup.

Mate 80 may feature CIS (Contact Image Sensors) as they are portable and promise high-quality images in every scenario. They occupy less space, making the phone lighter.

Even with all the advanced technology inside, Huawei is making sure the Mate 80 stays slim and easy to hold. They’re achieving this by using incredibly small imaging sensors for the camera system.

Huawei aims for top performance with the Mate 80, which means powerful cameras. To keep the phone from getting too big, they’ll have to use extremely small camera sensors and components.

As per the leak, Huawei might use the SC590XS as the telephoto sensor for the Mate 80 series. Meanwhile, the company could use SmartSens’s latest invention – the SC595XS main camera, built with a 1/1.28-inch sensor format.

The SC595XS sensor boasts excellent low-light performance due to its SFCPixel-2 technology. This tech helps it capture brighter, clearer, and more detailed images with less noise, even in dark settings. Furthermore, its efficient design also means lower power consumption.

Get ready for more camera breakthroughs from the Huawei Mate 80! While some details are still under wraps, leaks are already hinting at major enhancements. We expect to uncover the full extent of these upgrades very soon.

Huawei has begun rolling out the HarmonyOS 6.0.0.20 update to the Watch GT 5 Pro, bringing the highly anticipated tap-to-pay functionality. For now, access is limited to participants of the early testing program.

The September 2024-introduced Huawei Watch GT 5 series offers both standard and Pro variants. These watches boast a vibrant palette including Titanium Silver and Glacier White, alongside a long-lasting 14-day battery.

The HarmonyOS 6 beta for the Watch GT 5 Pro packs even more upgrades beyond tap-to-pay. Here’s a look at the other new features.

The update introduces highly customizable sticker watch faces. Beyond choosing from three unique and flexible layouts, the key feature is the ability to upload your own custom stickers. You can display up to five personal images at the same time, enabling deep personalization for a unique look.

The new “Module 2025” watch face supports a free combination of various-sized widgets and allows for easy switching of theme colors, boasting that “it looks good no matter how you style it.”

This update enables Alipay’s “Tap to Pay” feature for swift and easy transactions. The process is seamless: just raise your wrist and tap the screen, even from an off state. To protect your payments, a lock screen password must be entered for confirmation if one is set on your watch.

Please note that this feature is currently only available for users in China. A global release has not been announced by Huawei.
