These photos give us a clearer look at the back of these new, top-level phones. Also, we’ve already seen hints of the front design in Huawei’s official sneak peeks.

A bigger camera area:

In  accordance with  the tipster, the camera on this phone is really huge. The Chinese company put a bigger, wider bump for the lenses. Inside, there are two average-sized lenses and one giant ring holding a special dual-zoom camera.

The camera flash (LED Flash) is shaped like a pill and sits between the two camera lenses on the corners. You can also see the ‘XMAGE’ name there, which means the phone will have better camera abilities.

The Kirin 9020 chip, first seen in the Mate 70 series and also powering the Pura 80 phones (with new designs and better parts), might be in Huawei’s next triple-folding phone. If not, they could use the Pura 80’s standard chip, the Kirin 9020s.”

“The next Huawei tri-fold phone is rumored to have big camera improvements, including a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture and a periscope telephoto. Other details like the battery and display are still unknown, but we might learn more soon.”

Huawei secures the leading market share in the Chinese smartphone sector for Q2 2025, while Apple’s position declines to fifth due to heightened domestic competition.

IDC’s new report for Q2 2025 shows Huawei is back at the top of the Chinese smartphone market. Other big brands like vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi are also strong, but Apple (iPhone’s maker) has slipped down a bit.

According to the details, Huawei has shipped 12.5 million smartphones in the second quarter of this year. The company occupied 18.1% of the overall market share.

While Huawei’s annual growth rate dipped by 3.4%, their Q2 2025 sales were notably strong. This boost came from popular new devices like the Nova 14 series, the Pura X foldable, and their flagship Pura 80 phone.

Will Wang, the senior research manager at IDC, said:

Nevertheless, Huawei returned to the top spot after more than four years, underscoring its strong brand appeal and effective shipment management.”

Vivo held strong at number two in the Chinese smartphone market for Q2 2025, with 11.9 million shipments and 17.3% of the market. Despite a 10.1% dip year-over-year, the company is banking on its upcoming X300 series to boost sales and gain momentum in the quarters to come.

OPPO has sold around 10.7 million handsets in the second quarter of 2025, achieving 15.5% of the market share. Xiaomi stands at the fourth podium with 10.4 million unit sales and 15.1% market share.

Apple shipped 9.6M units in China (Q2 2025), holding 13.9% market share (up from 13.5%), aided by subsidies. Still, their annual growth fell 4.9%.

The Chinese smartphone market experienced a 4.0% year-over-year decline in Q2 2025, with shipments reaching 69.0 million units, IDC states. But they anticipate a gradual comeback for the market.
