Google declared Android 16 launch, One UI 8 for foldables coming with new Samsung devices, post-iOS 26 preview.

Google just discussed Android 16 is coming out on June 10th for Pixel phones.

The official Android 16 update release date is June 10, 2025

Even if you don’t have a Pixel, you might get some new Android countenance this June, and Google’s apps will get cool updates too.

Today, Pixel 6 and newer phones will begin getting the major Android 16 update. It should be if possible  late tonight for users in the US, giving them a new standard Android experience.

Some Pixel users are already testing Android 16 early through a special program. The new “strongest match” that Google showed off before will gradually appear in Android 16.

Android 16 brings a fresh new look for Pixel phones, with updated Quick Settings, Notification Panel, and App Icons. People are also really liking the new blurred design, especially after seeing what Apple did with iOS 26.

The main Android 16 update (the “stable” version) that’s turn out now might not have all the new “Expressive Design” features right away. Google plans to add those new design elements gradually, and many of them are already available if you’re in the test program (called QPR Beta). Also, Google’s own apps are starting to get the new look.

iOS 26 Preview

On June 9th, Apple showed off iOS 26 for iPhones, which has the biggest new look in Apple’s software history. However, some people are saying the new “liquid glass” design is hard to see clearly.

Google has announced that Samsung phones will get Android 16 this summer. Samsung later confirmed that their new foldable phones, coming out in July, will be the first to launch with the new Android 16 and One UI 8.

Watch 8

Good news for smartwatch fans! Samsung is getting ready to launch its new Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic this year. Before the official announcement, pictures of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic have already appeared online, showing off a fresh and interesting design.

Pictures of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic have popped up on eBay, giving us an early look at what’s coming. These leaked images show some exciting new features for the upcoming smartwatch.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Live Images:

Great news for fans! The popular rotating bezel, which many Galaxy Watch users love, is making a comeback with the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. It wasn’t on the last models (the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra), so its return is a big deal.

But this time, it’s paired with a new squircle-shaped case, which gives it a look similar to the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The leaked images also confirm a 46mm silver metal casing and a black leather strap. What’s more, it boasts a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with an always-on feature, all protected by tough sapphire crystal glass.

A small catch is that it looks like this watch uses a unique way to attach straps, meaning you might not be able to use just any standard watch band. On the right, there are three buttons, and a large speaker is on the left.

This new Classic watch is getting a big upgrade in storage, with 64GB – that’s double what the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra offered.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is coming next month at Unpacked. Leaks show it’ll combine classic features with an Ultra-inspired design.

Samsung S26 Camera: Welcoming the 50MP Sony Sensor..

Samsung Galaxy S26

Smartphone cameras are continually improving, and it looks like Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus/Edge phones might get a new main camera. Rumors say it could be a 50-megapixel Sony sensor with tiny 1μm pixels. This means potentially better photos.

Some reliable sources are saying that Samsung might use Sony camera sensors instead of their own ISOCELL sensors in future phones. But, other reports suggest they might still use a new ISOCELL sensor. So, while we are  talking about a 50-megapixel Sony sensor with tiny pixels, it is  just a strong possibility, not a sure thing yet

This new sensor is similar in size to Samsung’s current one, but Sony’s tech could improve colors and focus. Still, other phones might take better pictures with bigger sensors.

Samsung is really good at making pictures look great with its special software and image processing. This means they could make the new Sony camera sensor perform even better. If they also add things like clearer zoom or smoother video recording, the Galaxy S26 could certainly stand strong against other top phones.

  • iPhone 17: Might get a 48MP camera that’s good for different photo styles.
  • Xiaomi 16: Could keep its big 1-inch 50MP sensor for top photo quality.
  • OnePlus 14: Might use a 50MP sensor (1/1.4″), balancing size and good performance.

Samsung using Sony sensors could be a smart move, as Sony is known for great cameras. If Samsung uses Sony sensors well, the Galaxy S26 could catch up to or even beat rivals in photo detail or speed.Moving to Sony sensors might help the Galaxy S26 take better pictures, maybe even surpassing other phones.

S26/S26 Edge might get a 50MP ultrawide (like S25 Ultra) and an improved 3x telephoto for more detail.

The 50MP Sony sensor is a good step for the Galaxy S26, boosted by Samsung’s software. It won’t be the biggest, but it’s a welcome upgrade, though Samsung could push for more.
