Update
Huawei’s Devices CTO is reportedly testing the upcoming Pura 80.

Huawei‘s top tech boss, Bruce Lee, is now using a new, secret phone on social media. This probably means it is the new Pura 80 that’s coming soon. Huawei leaders often show off new phones this way before they’re officially released.
In accordance with , current leaks and rumors, the company could choose June for the earliest unveiling date, but an official announcement is yet to arrive.
Huawei typically releases its P-series phones in the first six months of the year. For 2024, they changed the name to Pura, starting with the Pura 70 series. Last year, they launched in April. This year, the timing is different, not due to how they are made, but because of other product launches.
Huawei introduced the Pura X in March. This is their new foldable phone, and it is special because it has a wide screen and runs on Huawei’s own HarmonyOS system.
Previous month , Huawei was very busy! They released a new kind of laptop that folds, called the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design. They also launched their new Nova 14 phones at the same event. Because they had so many big products coming out at once, the new Pura 80 will be launched at a different time than the previous model.
The Pura 80 is shaping up with impressive cameras. It is said to have a 50-megapixel smart camera and a 50-megapixel zoom camera. They both use a special way to get more light into your pictures. The top-of-the-line model will also come with a super clear, slightly curved screen.
At present , the head of Huawei’s consumer products, He Gang, accidentally showed a test version of the new phone. It had a big hole for the camera, but otherwise looked just like the old model.
