Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 5.0.5 update improves how well your device works and how stable it is. It does not include any big new features.
The HarmonyOS 5.0.5 update for Huawei phones comprise changes to things like ArkUI, how apps work (Ability), data handling (ArkData), and the AR Engine.
This update makes managing files easier on phones. To see the version, go to Settings > Device Name > Software Version > About this device and check the API.
The HarmonyOS 5.0.5 update will soon be available for the Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, Mate X5, MatePad Pro 13.2, and MatePad Pro 11 2024. You can read all the details about the update further down.

HarmonyOS PC: Faster boot than Windows/macOS.

Huawei’s HarmonyOS PC is their first software just for computers, and it boots faster and runs more clearly than Windows and macOS.You will get going faster, and it will work more fluidly than Windows and macOS.
It is how long your phone, tablet, or laptop takes to start up and get ready to use after you press the power button or restart it.Boot time or boot speed tells you how long it takes for your phone, tablet, or computer to switch on and load everything. It is simply how long it takes for your phone, tablet, or laptop to go from being off to being fully on and ready.
This HarmonyOS PC starts up in no time, even faster than you can blink! You can get straight to what you need to do. Windows and macOS take way longer.
One of the best things about Windows PCs is how fastly they start up. This makes using them better, helps you get more done, and might even save battery. It’s faster than ever to open your device and apps.
Everything feels more fluid and less jerky on HarmonyOS PC than on Windows.
It shows how easily a tablet, PC, or phone performs tasks, transformation between apps, and responds to user inputs. HarmonyOS PC has acquired good grades in both smoothness and boot time in the first HarmonyOS-dedicated PC.
HarmonyOS PC does not have C and D drives. It only uses the computer’s own storage and online storage, which makes it simpler and faster.
This HarmonyOS PC helps itself run smoothly by impulsively cleaning up junk and making things better. You do not need to download anything to speed up HarmonyOS PC. It handles files like an Android tablet, making it easy to find what you are looking for.

HarmonyOS PC
HarmonyOS PC uses a special system for storing files called EROFS. It makes the computer read things super fast (3 times faster!) and also saves about 1.6 GB of space compared to the usual way.

Rumored Huawei foldable PC: MateBook Fold Ultimate Design

Huawei is allegedly developing its first foldable PC, possibly named MateBook Fold Ultimate Design. This would join their “Ultimate Design” series, like the Mate XT and Mate 70 RS.
Many sources online say Huawei is making a new foldable laptop called MateBook Fold Ultimate Design.
The model number for this device has also been leaked, and it is HPR-W72.
It is also rumored that this first foldable computer from Huawei will come with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Some tipsters think it might be simply called Huawei MateBook RS, not MateBook Fold Ultimate Design.
We have not gotten official confirmation from Huawei about these details. But a senior person at Huawei has hinted that they have some unbelievable products in the works for this year.
So, it seems likely Huawei is making a foldable PC. Other tech companies like ASUS and Lenovo have already made them, so Huawei definitely does not want to fall behind in this new type of device.Hence, the Chinese OEM does not want to lag in this creative device race.
Huawei Foldable PC launching this month:
We reported earlier that Huawei could release this amazing foldable PC later this month.Since the company has listed many PC models on an approval database, there is a chance to see the new device on stage in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, some sources on Weibo are guessing Huawei might not reveal it until the second half of the year.
The details are still unknown. But we can definitely expect more interesting information about this later on.
