Good news for Galaxy Note 20 users: The April 2025 update is out worldwide! The April security update for Samsung phones first came to light in the US towards the end of last month, and now everyone around the world can get it.

User corroboration suggests that Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra have also received the April 2025 update in Europe  (HYD1) and India (HYD3).

This April, Samsung released a security update that fixes over 60 security weaknesses. If you have an Exynos-powered Galaxy phone, it gets even stronger protection against threats.

The software on the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra is Android 13 with One UI 5 from Samsung. They received the One UI 5 update towards the end of 2022 and then One UI 5.1 in the beginning of 2023.

This April 2025 update might be the second to last quarterly update for the Galaxy Note 20 series. We are  anticipating one more update in the next three months before Samsung stops official updates.

The Galaxy Note 20 line won’t get any more big Android updates, but Samsung will still provide security updates to keep your phone secure. Once the support ends, you are put forward to upgrade to a new Galaxy.

Samsung often continues to provide updates even after the official support period for a device ends.

But Samsung only releases these irregular updates when they really need to fix a serious security problem or issue.

Galaxy Z Trifold to beat S25 Ultra in battery life.

Galaxy Z Tryfold

Samsung’s next foldable, the Galaxy Z Trifold, is already turning heads. Get ready for a revolutionary three-part folding design and a more powerful battery..

New reports confirm the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold will feature a substantial 5600 mAh battery, surpassing the capacity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This significant power boost is a direct response to the demands of its unique, multi-panel folding screen, which requires more energy to illuminate a larger surface area.

While the Galaxy Z Fold uses a dual-battery system for its two sections, the Trifold advances this approach. Its third folding panel enables the integration of a third battery. The combined output of these three cells results in a higher total capacity, setting a new benchmark for Samsung’s foldable lineup.

The device’s 10-inch tablet mode requires a robust battery to sustain it. The 5600 mAh unit is that solution, ensuring the Trifold lasts a full day despite its large display. In the context of a 10-inch screen, this capacity is appropriately sized—it meets the need effectively without being overkill.

Samsung is scheduled to unveil the Galaxy Z Trifold on December 5th. The launch will be phased, commencing with an initial release in select Asian markets such as South Korea and China. A subsequent global rollout to additional countries is planned for a later stage.

Samsung appears to be treating this initial launch as a pilot program to gauge market performance and consumer reception. A successful debut in these key markets could pave the way for a global rollout next year. With its innovative triple-fold design, expansive display, and superior battery, the Galaxy Z Trifold has the potential to redefine the convergence of phones and tablets.

Galaxy S26 Plus

Contrary to rumors of an S26 Edge, Samsung is bringing back the Galaxy S26 Plus. New CAD-based renders provide our first clear look at the device, showcasing a design that evolves the familiar look with subtle refinements.

The collaborative leak from @OnLeaks and Android Headlines provides a clear view of the display. It features a spacious 6.7-inch flat panel framed by consistently thin bezels on all sides. For the selfie camera, Samsung has opted for a minimalist, centrally-located punch-hole cutout at the top of the screen, which complements the display’s subtly curved corners.

The device’s frame boasts a predominantly flat profile, elegantly tapered at the edges to ensure a comfortable feel in hand. Maintaining a clean and intuitive layout, the power and volume rockers are situated together on the right-hand side.

On the back, the biggest change is the camera setup. The Galaxy S26 Plus will have a vertical, pill-shaped camera island in the top-left corner with three separate cameras.

The back maintains a clean, minimalist profile by ditching the large camera bar seen on the S26 Edge. Instead, the design features slightly raised individual camera lenses with the LED flash housed neatly alongside them.

The phone reportedly will measure around 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35mm, which makes it thin but slightly thicker than the rumored S26 Edge. The back is flat with the Samsung logo at the bottom.

Collectively, this leaked information provides our most concrete look yet at the upcoming Galaxy S26+. It not only confirms the revival of the “Plus” model but also reveals a design philosophy of thoughtful evolution—maintaining a recognizable and stylish foundation while introducing subtle refinements aimed at modern aesthetics and improved ergonomics.
