Starting in May 2025, no more Cloud app updates for Android 8 Galaxy phones. Following the Mate 70 Air’s debut, predictions for the Mate 80’s battery capacity surfaced on Weibo, and one now seems to be correct.
SuperDimensional said that the Huawei Mate 80 series battery capacity may range between 6500 to 7000mAh. If true, it would be a major improvement over the past few generations.
In accordance with earlier reports from DigitalChatStation, Huawei is working on higher-density batteries and has tested a 7000mAh cell. The tipster adds, however, that this solution is slated to debut with the Pura 90 series in 2026.
