LPDDR5X DRAM

In today’s time, everyone wants their device to be the fastest mobile or laptop or any other gadget, keeping all these things in mind, Samsung has launched the industry’s fastest LPDDR5X DRAM with a new data transfer speed of up to 8.5Gbps.

The company’s new memory chips, made using the 14nm EUV process, have already been validated for use with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platform. We’re going to see these new DRAM chips inside the high-end smartphones and ultra-thin laptops of the future.

This ultra-fast DRAM from Samsung is also being used in laptops, high-performance computing devices, servers, and automobiles. Samsung sees strong growth of LPDDR5X DRAM chips in the automotive sector

The special thing about this LPDDR5X DRAM is that it is not only the fastest but at the same time it reduces power consumption. As a result of which the cost of ownership is significantly reduced.

Daniel Lee, Executive Vice President of the Memory Product Planning Team at Samsung Electronics, said, “As LPDDR memory continues to expand its use beyond smartphones into AI and data center applications, stronger collaboration between memory and SoC vendors will become more important.” “Samsung continues to push itself strongly for the future and its impact will be visible soon.

Samsung is not regular for Galaxy Watch software updates

Published

on

By

Galaxy Watch 4

The popularity of Samsung’s smartwatch has increased since the company left the Tizen OS operating system and tied up with Google’s Wear OS system. Samsung’s first Wear OS smartwatch was the Galaxy Watch 4 which was very popular in the market. But somewhere Samsung is not regular to roll out the new software updates for the Galaxy Watches as compared to the Galaxy smartphones.

As we know, the software section of Samsung is very big and great, the company has rolled out new features, fixes, improvements and much more with the OTA for older Galaxy devices. But what about the Galaxy Smartwatches? I am not targeting only the Galaxy Watch 4 series, the company has also lacked to send the new software update for the Galaxy Watch 5 series, which is the new generation wearable device of the company.

As we have seen, Samsung has rollout software updates every month for most of the Galaxy smartphones, in which the users have received new features, device stability improvements, monthly security patches and much more. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 are not able to get the monthly patches.

However, they said that the Galaxy smartwatches do not require monthly patch updates. That is why there is no schedule by the company to roll out the firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 every month. On the other hand, the company has only pushed the Wear OS update for the Galaxy Watches which is a major update for users which brings the new features, fixes known issue bugs and turned with the new Wear OS version.
