Statistics show that as of June this year, the total global sales of PS4 released in 2013 was 116.96 million units, while the total global sales of Switch released in 2017 has reached 109.8 million units, which is only 7.14 million units away from the current sales of PS4.

It is worth mentioning that June 2022 is the 64th month of the Switch release, while the 64th month of the PS4 release is February 2019, when the total global sales of PS4 were 93.75 million units. It wasn’t even until the 79th month of its release that Sony’s PS4 did not reach 110.2 million units sold, the Switch’s current sales.

In addition, the Switch has outsold the PS4 by 4.94 million units in the past year, and after the Switch’s 33rd month on sale, Sony’s PS4 has never outsold the Switch in a single month. Therefore, according to the current trend, it is only a matter of time before the total global sales of the Nintendo Switch will break the Sony PS4 record, and it may even reach 155 million units, surpassing the highest sales in history created by Sony PS2.

According to the news, Few large companies have come forward to deny the entire report categorically, but Nintendo did just that today.

According to The Verge, Nintendo issued a press release today, insisting that the information on the 4K version of the Switch Pro game console revealed by Bloomberg is completely incorrect.

Nintendo pointed out in a press release that Bloomberg “falsely claimed that Nintendo is providing game development tools for 4K-enabled Nintendo Switch” and insisted that this is “fake”. In addition, Nintendo stated that it does not have any plans for a new Nintendo Switch console, except for the minor revised OLED model that will be launched next week .

The previously reported Switch Pro can be directly connected to the TV to output 4K signals, supports NVIDIA DLSS, and is equipped with a customized version of the NVIDIA Tegra Orin T239 chip.
