Basic smartwatches are cheaper and gaining popularity faster, particularly in markets like India. They are increasingly seen as viable alternatives to smart bands, contributing to their growing demand.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 are not able to get the monthly patches.
However, they said that the Galaxy smartwatches do not require monthly patch updates. That is why there is no schedule by the company to roll out the firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 every month. On the other hand, the company has only pushed the Wear OS update for the Galaxy Watches which is a major update for users which brings the new features, fixes known issue bugs and turned with the new Wear OS version.
