The Galaxy S20 series was launched in early 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2 onboard. Samsung released the Android 11-based One UI 3 update for the phones in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in late 2021. Now Samsung Galaxy Carrier-locked Galaxy S20 Series are getting June 2022 security patch update in the US.
As we mentioned, Samsung is continuously rolling out the June security patch update for its devices and we saw earlier in the month that Samsung rolled out the June 2022 security update for the international variants of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. was issued. And last night, Samsung rolled out the update for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xUSQU2FVF1. It brings June 2022 security patch and this update fixes 66 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It also includes general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you’re a Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra user in the US, with a carrier-locked model, you can download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software Update and tapping Download and Install.
