Carrier-locked Galaxy S20 Series are getting June 2022 security patch update in the US

The Galaxy S20 series was launched in early 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2 onboard. Samsung released the Android 11-based One UI 3 update for the phones in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in late 2021. Now Samsung Galaxy Carrier-locked Galaxy S20 Series are getting June 2022 security patch update in the US.

As we mentioned, Samsung is continuously rolling out the June security patch update for its devices and we saw earlier in the month that Samsung rolled out the June 2022 security update for the international variants of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. was issued. But that update was limited to a few regions.

And last night, Samsung rolled out the update for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xUSQU2FVF1. It brings June 2022 security patch and this update fixes 66 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It also includes general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you’re a Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra user in the US, with a carrier-locked model, you can download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software Update and tapping Download and Install.

Both these smartwatches will be launched on August 10, 2022, with new designs, software, features, and more. As we all know, the South Korean electronics behemoth has dropped its Classic variant, and the new Pro model has taken its place in the premium sector, while the ordinary model has maintained its old legacy. Although all of the information on the Galaxy Watch 5 series has been leaked, we have finally seen some official images.

According to the promo images, the Galaxy Watch 5 series will have the previously leaked design, as well as the same specifications. Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will not come with a rotating bezel:

The promo images did not reveal much about either model aside from the design, but it is now more certain that the next Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will not include a rotating bezel. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is only seen in one of the advertising shots, thus there aren’t much specifics about it to be seen. According to Korean safety certification, it has a large 572mAh battery and has the appearance of a monster watch.

The Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will only be available in one size 46mm. Both will use the latest Google’s Wear OS 3.5 operating system with the One UI Watch 4.5 interface. Other significant features include an IP68 dust and water resistant certification, a microphone and speaker combo, an accelerometer, barometer, blood composition sensor, ECG, GPS, gyro, and NFC.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be offered in two colors: Black and Graphite. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 5 would draw customers in thanks to its more appealing color options: White, Pink Gold, Light Blue, Graphite, and Bora Purple. The devices will be officially unveiled on August 10 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which means we are only a few days away.
