In addition, Evan Blass has also revealed the sizes and models of smartwatches. We now learned that the devices’ model numbers are SM-R900, SM-R910, and SM-R920. So, the company will release two models: the base model is the Galaxy Watch 5 and it comes in two sizes may be 40mm and 44mm. On the other hand, the premium model is the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which will replace the Classic variant.

Furthermore, the premium Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is said to have sapphire glass and a titanium case. Also, the FCC documentation revealed that the Galaxy Watch 5 series will come with 10W (5V, 2A) charging support, which will be able to charge the watch twice as fast as the previous Samsung smartwatches – the Galaxy Watch 4.

In addition, the 40mm and 44mm editions of the Galaxy Watch 5 will have 276mAh and 397mAh batteries, respectively. The battery capacity of the Samsung Watch 5 Pro will be raised to 572mAh. Apart from that, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5GHz, b/g/n), and NFC will be available on all variants. LTE versions of the wearables are also expected from the company.

The Galaxy Watch 5 series has yet to be officially announced by Samsung. However, we anticipate that the corporation will reveal some details in the weeks coming up to the launch. In that vein, we have yet to set a date for the debut event. However, based on last year’s launch schedule, we believe the Galaxy foldable and smartwatches will arrive in August 2022.

Samsung’s One UI 8: Most Secure Yet, Coming Tomorrow

One UI 8

Get ready! Samsung just confirmed that One UI 8.0 will launch tomorrow, July 9th, bringing its most advanced security features ever. It will first appear on new foldable phones, but don’t worry, it’s coming to other Galaxy devices shortly after.”

With more AI features, device security and your privacy are top concerns. One UI 8.0 tackles this by offering improved privacy for how AI uses your data, clearer warnings about potential dangers, and cutting-edge encryption that protects you even in the future.

One UI 8 introduces KEEP:

One UI 8 brings a new system called Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP). This helps keep your AI features safe by creating a special, locked storage area for each app. It also works with Galaxy’s Personal Data Engine, which powers features like ‘Now Brief,’ keeping your info secure.

Thanks to Knox Vault, KEEP makes sure your data stays safe and secure directly on your device. This is great for your privacy, especially for features like smart searches in your gallery or helpful suggestions. KEEP is also ready to protect all the cool new Galaxy AI features coming in the future.

Enhancements to existing features:

One UI 8 enhances Knox Matrix for smarter threat detection across Galaxy devices. It automatically signs you out of your Samsung Account if risks are detected, and provides notifications to help you fix issues fast.”

First seen on the S25 phones, Secure Wi-Fi now uses a super strong type of encryption called ‘quantum-resistant.’ This protects your data on public Wi-Fi from powerful future computers. On top of that, Auto Protect and Enhanced Privacy Protection add even more layers of safety.

When you are on public Wi-Fi, Samsung’s Auto Protect kicks in all by itself to keep you safe. And Enhanced Privacy Protection makes sure your phone’s details aren’t visible to others. A helpful log lets you see exactly what was protected. Together, these features keep your information private, even in unsecured spots.
