Google will continue to use Samsung’s OLED panels in its Pixel 7 series
We all almost know that google has unveiled its high-end smartphones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. And his official advertising started from his official account. But so far Google has not explained the specifications of its Pixel 7 series in detail.
Google will continue to use Samsung Display’s OLED panels on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, according to a report by Google-based website 9To5Google. The company has reportedly made two display drivers – C10 (Cheetah) and P10 (Panther) – which are similar to the display drivers for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
This report by 9To5Google makes it clear that Google has used last year’s OLED panel from Samsung in its latest Pixel 7 series.
Google Pixel 7 Series Display Information
The Google Pixel 7 will sport a 6.4-inch OLED panel display (S6E3FC3) with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 7 Pro will be available with a 6.71-inch OLED panel (S6E3HC3) with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both the phones have HDR10+ compatibility and a center-aligned punch-hole-shaped cutout for the selfie camera.
We should not be surprised because Samsung’s OLED panels are very good, which makes the display quite spectacular and gives a good experience to the user and Samsung is also using it in its high devices.
Although the Google Pixel 7 series has better display hardware than the Pixel 6 series, a lot of information suggests that the Google Pixel 7 series has the hardware of the Google Pixel 6 series. We can’t confirm if this could be a conspiracy against the Google Pixel 7 series, but it’s not clear whether Google will bring the customization through software. It was revealed that the company is finally bringing a 1080p display resolution mode with Android 13.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Users Report Screen Edge Dots
Some Pixel 8 Pro owners have reported that round bumps have appeared on their screens. Bumps are visible at several places on the screen and it feels as if something is pressing on the bottom of the 6.7-inch OLED screen.
Users reported that this kind of screen protrusion does not affect the use, touch function and image quality, and these protrusions can only be seen in a well-lit environment by constantly adjusting the angle. However, users are worried that these bumps will get worse.
We checked the photos of the problem shared by the Reddit community and X platform users. The bumps are mainly concentrated in the top edge area of the screen. At least dozens of users have reported that the above problem exists, and some have contacted Google to request replacement.
