Google has been making headlines for the past several weeks for its upcoming smartwatch (Pixel Watch). And people are getting convinced of its design and look but till now were not aware of its merits. And even Google didn’t reveal the specs of the Pixel Watch.
Let us tell you that the Google Pixel Watch will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9110 processor and will be equipped with a co-processor/assistant processor. Its job is to help offset the load on the main SoC and handleless intensive tasks, but it remains to be seen whether it falls under the co-processor tensor umbrella.
We just reported a few weeks ago that the Exynos 9110 is a chip released by Samsung in August 2018. The chip uses a 10nm process and has two Cortex-A53 cores. This is similar to the Snapdragon Wear 4100+, which debuted on the original Samsung Galaxy Watch in 2018.
An unnamed source told 9to5Google that not only will this Google wearable come with a co-processor, but it will also have the most RAM on the wearable OS, as well as 32GB of storage onboard. Hence, this Pixel Watch will provide a better Wear OS experience.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100+ is powered by the company’s QCC1110 coprocessor, which according to 9to5Google can support an all-weather display in 64K colors. Foreign media expect the Pixel Watch’s coprocessor to perform the same, but there is no evidence to support this claim.
The new smartwatch is most likely to release alongside the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, so stay tuned for more details on the same.
Google Pixel 6 / Pro / 6a mobile phones start to push firmware update
It looks like a new security update for Google’s Pixel 6 devices has been put on hold for now. Instead, Google Pixel 6 users will get a separate update this week that focuses on fixing potential GPS problems on the Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6a.
The Google team announced that starting today a new firmware update will be rolling out to all Pixel 6 devices. The update will be rolled out in phases for all three devices, and as per the official description, the update fixes a GPS issue where phones can experience “GPS location failure” in some cases.
In addition, Google also clarified the delay of the August 2022 Android security update, saying that the update will be released in the next few weeks.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6 have been out for a while, and the Pixel 6a recently started shipping. The Pixel mid-range device was originally on sale for $449, but it went through several promotions, one of which also dropped to $399.
The Google Pixel 6a is powered by a self-developed TenSor processor and features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ 60Hz OLED center punch screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera supports off-screen fingerprints.
There is an LED flash and two cameras on the bar on the back of the fuselage: a 12.2-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Other highlights include stereo speakers, IP67 dust and water resistance, 5G connectivity, and a built-in 4410 mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro: the possible launch date is leaked
Following the first teaser released last May, on the occasion of Google I/O, attention has not diminished on the future Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Google’s new smartphones are approaching their official debuts and with regards to the two projects, there has been no shortage of rumors related to technical data sheets in recent weeks. Today, however, the subject of new rumors focused on the release date of the new Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Two new smartphones should hit the market in just two months. Here is the complete information:
Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro: Debut confirmed in October
The indiscretion comes from FrontPageTech and insider John Prosser. According to what was revealed by a source defined as “very reliable”, the new smartphones from Google are very close to debut. The next rounding date on the calendar will be October 6 when pre-orders for the new smartphone will begin. Most likely, the departure date of the pre-orders will coincide, the source reveals, with the date of the launch of the two smartphones.
However, the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will have to wait another week for the launch. At the end of the rapid pre-order phase, in fact, the new Google smartphones should be the protagonists of a commercial launch from next October 13th. By convention, the new Pixels should only arrive in select markets, at least initially.
As was the case with the Pixel 6a, Italy could also be among the launch markets for the new Google smartphone. However, we will have to wait a few weeks to know more about the arrival of both smartphones in the country. A list of “first-day” marketing markets for the new Pixel should emerge online shortly.
The new SoC will be Tensor 2, codenamed GS201, the second generation of the chip based on the new Google smartphones project, with which Google aims to support its growth in the mobile phone sector, such as reducing dependence on chip makers. Qualcomm. , a former supplier of Pixel smartphone SoCs.
There has been a lot of talk about the specifications of the new Pixel 7 in recent weeks, with a particular focus on the features of the photographic sector. More details about the tech sector of the two smartphones from the US home will surely come soon. In fact, in a span of two months, the new Pixel 7 will be the new point of reference in the market, and hence, in the coming weeks, the rumors about the devices will certainly not subside.
DxOMark praises the photographic qualities of the Google Pixel 6a
Generally, smartphones below 500/600 euros hardly offer high-level photographic performance, apart from Google devices that manage to achieve above-average results thanks to the company’s powerful image enhancement algorithms.
It is therefore not surprising that the newborn Google Pixel 6a achieved excellent results in the photographic tests conducted by the DxOMark platform.
Google Pixel 6a proves to be an excellent smartphone for photos
In the ranking drawn up by DxOMark with the best smartphones for taking pictures in the price range between 400 and 600 euros, the Google Pixel 6a took second place with a score of 130, just behind the more expensive Google Pixel 6.
It should be noted that new smartphones from Google priced at one thousand euros, such as the Huawei P50 Pro (144 points) or iPhone 13 Pro (137 points), also occupy the third place in the same price range. The iPhone SE 2022 and Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro are on par with 12 points less than the 5G.
DxOMark rewards good photo and video quality, in particular, the sharpness of objects in the background, good performance combined with good HDR work, faithful colors, and effective video stabilization.
Platform-wise, the zoom, abundant noise in shadows, loss of quality in details compared to Google Pixel 6, and quality of photos can be improved in low light conditions.
