Just a day ago, the Telegram developer team announced the new update to its popular cross-platform instant messaging application. According to the announcement, the Telegram app has received an updated build 8.7.0 which is available for Android users as well as web users. This new version adds a number of useful new capabilities to the app.
Among the new features in version 8.7.0 are the ability to personalize notification tones, the ability to set customized values to quiet chats or delete messages automatically, improved bots, and improved forwarding.

One of the most intriguing new features is the ability to transform any sound into a notification tone: simply touch a short audio file or a voice message in chat to add it to your notification sounds collection. They also improved the Auto-deletion functionality (which can be activated in any chat to make a conversation more private, with fewer taps and more customization options surrounding the timer) and the forwarding message functionality with this version of the program. (which is supplemented by previews)
Another new feature highlighted by the Telegram team is that of bots, whose creators will be able to use JavaScript to create more flexible interfaces capable of totally replacing any website. Telegram bots can also execute minor jobs, such as administering a chat, as well as providing additional features.
Another enhancement is the Picture-in-Picture mode, specifically the media player window, which now has a rounded shape and the ability to modify the size using pinch-to-zoom.
Finally, modifications to the interface for changing your phone number in Settings (a new appearance has been adopted with animated ducks) and additional animated emoticons related to food are among the innovations launched with version 8.7.0 of Telegram for Android.
