The OnePlus 10 Pro debuted on the global market today (March 31, 2022). As expected, the former startup’s new smartphone, which was unveiled in China in January, has crossed the border into the international market, bringing with it huge ambitions that are backed up by first-rate technical specifications – SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 di Qualcomm and AMOLED LTPO 2.0 QHD + display, among others – and prestigious collaborations like the one with Hasselblad in the photographic sector. Now, let’s explore more about the OnePlus 10 Pro:

OnePlus 10 Pro Specifications:

There are no surprises to report in terms of the technical data sheet because the smartphone has been official for over two months, and OnePlus even joked with fans when announcing the global launch date by asking, “The specs are already out, what else is there to expect?”

In any case, as the OnePlus 10 Pro has only recently been released to the global market, an evaluation of its technical specifications is unavoidable. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform with 4 nm fabrication process, Snapdragon X65 5G modem, the first 18-bit mobile ISP, and the new Qualcomm AI Engine platform are among the primary technical aspects of this new premium smartphone.

The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with LTPO 2.0 technology, variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, Quad HD + resolution (1440 x 3216 pixels), and a peak brightness of 1300 nit; the photographic sector curated in collaboration with Hasselblad, for whose collaboration spectacular shots were made from the stratosphere; the 5,000 mAh battery with support for SuperVOOC wired fast charging (reflecting the now indissoluble bond with OPPO ) up to 80 watts and wireless (AirVOOC) up to 50 watts and reverse.

The design and software of the OnePlus 10 Pro:

With a 6.7-inch display and a 5,000-mAh battery, the OnePlus 10 Pro is anything but a tiny smartphone, and the stats back this up: 163 mm in height, 73.9 mm in width, 8.5 mm in thickness, and a weight of 200 kilos makes it a fairly demanding smartphone. The displays on OnePlus “Pro” smartphones are normally slightly curved, and this new model is no different.

The camera is put into the now-standard hole in the display (punch hole design), there is also the obligatory – and really comfortable – alert slider, and the back has an attractive matte finish with a camera module of significant dimensions with the Hasselblad signature in plain sight. It is evident from the first resistance tests that having a protective cover is a good idea.

OnePlus 10 Pro

In terms of software, the OnePlus 10 Pro ships with Android 12.1 and OxygenOS 12.1. Unlike some less conscientious competitors, the OnePlus 10 Pro already provides complete support for the Media Performance Class 12 criteria.

The most intriguing dedicated functions concern the photographic sector, for which we report: the Hasselblad Pro Mode with 10-bit color photographs for a 25% boost in DCI-P3 color space coverage, photos in 12-bit RAW with all three rear sensors, and the Hasselblad Pro Mode with RAW Plus function (to obtain both a RAW file, for a subsequent one and a JPEG format).

Movie mode is for video recording and lets you to shoot in 8K, super slow motion at 1080p, and manual adjustment of ISO, shutter speed, and other parameters even while recording. It also supports the LOG format.
