According to a previous rumor, Huawei would release its new flagship products in the fourth quarter of this year. Now the company has officially informed that the Huawei Watch GT 3 series will be launched on October 28, 2021.
As per the statement, the company will host the APAC Autumn Launch event for global users on October 28, 2021. On that day, we will be able to see three Huawei devices: the Huawei Nova 9 series, MateBook 14s, and Huawei Watch GT 3 series. Two of three devices have already been launched in China, but the GT 3 series is the first smartwatch to be launched in the global market first.
The official news confirmed on Twitter, Huawei Mobile De has shared the launch promo video on its account which shows the first glimpse of the GT 3 series. According to the smartwatch’s first appearance, it will be a hybrid of the Watch 3 and Watch GT 2. The display frame is similar to that of the Watch GT 2 46mm model, and it will feature a 3D rotating crown, as seen in the Watch 3 series.

Huawei has announced a new rollout schedule for HarmonyOS 4 in Q1 2024, as several smartwatches are still waiting for the major software update.
Huawei released HarmonyOS 4 in early August, with new features and capabilities. The company initially announced a beta program for the Huawei Watch 4 series and completed the stable rollout to all users on November 1st.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 is the first Huawei smartwatch to come with HarmonyOS 4 pre-installed. Customers of this wearable get all of the new features out of the box. The latest super-premium Watch Ultimate Design still runs HarmonyOS 3, but it will also be updated to HarmonyOS 4 in Q1 2024.
