AMD Radeon RX 6600 specifications leaked: 8GB 14 Gbps video memory
VideoCardz has released a screenshot of AMD Radeon RX 6600 GPU-Z specifications, revealing some details.
This graphics card will be a mid-range graphics card based on the Navi 2X architecture. It will also be the most entry-level desktop RDNA2 card introduced by AMD. It has 1792 stream processors, which is 256 cores less than the full Navi 23 GPU.
Compared with the XT version, the AMD Radeon RX 6600 has a lower frequency, the default frequency is 2044 MHz, and the acceleration frequency is 2491 MHz, which are respectively 319 and 98 MHz lower than the XT SKU.
At present, the GPU core frequency is not the only reduction compared to XT. The memory bandwidth of the card will also be reduced from 256 GB/s to 224 GB/s, resulting in a reduction in the memory speed from 16 Gbps to 14 Gbps.
The following figure uses Sapphire RX 6600 Pulse, the frequency is the reference frequency, and it works with the Adrenaln 21.30.17.06 driver in Windows 10.
The DNS learned that this graphics card is equipped with 8GB of SK Hynix GDDR6 video memory with a bit width of 128bit. Most of the parameters are limited compared to 6600 XT, so as to prevent this graphics card from hitting the 6600 XT market, but because Performance is limited, so TDP is only 132W.
AMD claims that the average performance per watt of their RX 6600 is 1.3 times higher than that of GeForce RTX 3060, which seems to be the main selling point of this new product. The card was officially launched on October 13, which should also be the date when the ban was lifted.

Now, in a noteworthy move, Samsung is expanding its DIY repair support to include its foldable models, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. This means users will soon have the option to tackle repairs at home, marking a shift in Samsung’s approach to empower users in maintaining and fixing their foldable devices.
This development follows Google’s recent introduction of DIY repair options for its Pixel Fold, though it’s worth noting that repair parts for the Pixel Fold can be relatively expensive, such as the inner screen alone costing $900. Samsung is making its Self-Repair program available to more people around the world. The program is spreading to South Korea and over 30 European countries, including places like Denmark, Greece, Hungary, and Portugal. Huawei’s big boss just hinted at exciting new things for their software in 2024! Expect fresh products built on their latest HarmonyOS NEXT system.
During the Fan Club (Pollen) Annual Conference 2023, Yu Chengdong announced that Huawei plans to reveal several advanced products next year. He also predicted the launch of HarmonyOS NEXT products and improved native application experiences in 2024.
The CEO didn’t share when exactly the new software and native applications would be released, but we can anticipate the official reveal to happen in early 2024.
Huawei needs to make HarmonyOS fully independent and essential without relying on Android libraries soon. Hopefully, the company will speed up its efforts in the coming days.
