A piece of great news out for the Chinese tech giant Huawei, the company has got the approval to the US for purchasing the chipset regarding the automobile business. This is definitely a huge achievement for the company and it would like them to take advantage of it going forward.

As per the report shared by Reuters, the United States has issued licenses to vendors allowing them to sell chipsets to Huawei for use in car components such as television screens and sensors. However, a source close to the situation claims that license approval takes less time than the automobile.

At present, the company has not given any kind of comment on this subject yet but a spokesperson said that the United States has gone too far in its telecom business to slow down. The spokesperson has shared one more thing that Huawei aspires to be a leader in the field of smart vehicle component providers, with the goal of assisting other car OEMs (manufacturers) in the development of better vehicles.

TelegramHuawei was placed on the US entrance list in 2019 but has since had numerous challenges and has been prohibited, which is why the business has split its cooperation with Google and begun working with a self-developed system. As a result, the company has developed its own chipset and operating system under the name – HarmonyOS.

Huawei’s Automobile Business:

We’ve known for a long time that Huawei manufactures smart cars, and we’re also aware that the firm has achieved significant progress in the sector of automobiles. Huawei is gradually revealing information about its car manufacturing business, and the corporation has formed partnerships with other companies to carry out this work.

HarmonyOS, which is appropriate for all smart products, not only smartphones, was just introduced by the company and could prove to be quite valuable in this industry. Furthermore, the corporation has expressed no interest in obtaining shares in any automobile manufacturer.

Huawei is in the “early innings” of trying to participate in the $5 trillion automotive sectors that have huge potential development both inside and outside of China, according to Richard Barnett, chief marketing officer of global electronics consultant Supply Frame.

“Cars and trucks are now computers on wheels,” said Barnett, “That convergence is what’s driving Huawei’s strategic focus to be a bigger player in that area.”
