The August 2021 update for Huawei FreeBuds 4i increased system stability
According to the latest information, Huawei has begun pushing out a new firmware update for Huawei FreeBuds 4i users. The new firmware update includes certain enhancements that will improve the user’s experience. This new version is exclusively available for people in Turkey, hence it is not available to the rest of the world.
In terms of changes and build number, this new firmware has a new version number of 1.9.0.186, and the installation package is 1.35MB in size. According to the changelog, this version increased system stability, and you should upgrade it as soon as possible.

HOW TO UPDATE HUAWEI FREEBUDS 4?
Via AI Life App:
- Opens the AI Life app
- Click on the “HUAWEI FreeBuds 4” tile
- Click on the “Update” tile at the bottom right
- Right at the bottom on the blue button “SEARCH FOR UPDATES”
Via Bluetooth settings:
- Open your settings
- Click on “Bluetooth”
- Select the “HUAWEI FreeBuds 4” (press the gear)
- Select “Updates”
- Right at the bottom of the blue button “SEARCH FOR UPDATES”.
HUAWEI FREEBUDS 4I SPECIFICATION:
Each earbud of the Huawei FreeBuds 4i has a 55mAh battery capacity, while the charging case has a 215mAh battery capacity. Users can listen to up to 7.5 hours of music on a regular basis with ANC activated, and if they want to listen to the music for longer, they can disable the ANC technology. Once you disable this option, your headset will give you 10 hours of non-stop playback duration. This earbud requires 60 minutes to charge to 100% within the box, and the charging case needs 90 minutes to charge to 100%.
