What are your thoughts on Google Pixel 6’s lack of a charger?

Google Pixel 6 series

Google has officially confirmed the Google Pixel 6 series, as well as the fact that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be the names of two smartphones that will be released under the Pixel 6 series. There had been a lot of debate regarding whether the Pixel 6 Pro smartphone would come in a Pro or XL form prior to this.

Google has already released its latest product, the Google Pixel 5a smartphone, which is aimed at the mid-range market and will be followed by 5G mid-range smartphones. Although the device’s evaluation did not leave a lasting impression, the Pixel 5a was released with all of the necessary accessories, including the charger.

However, in its future Google Pixel 6 series, Google will adopt Apple and Samsung’s ideas. The charger will not be present on the future Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, according to this concept. Companies, on the other hand, are continuously adopting this policy, which is not ideal from one perspective.

If we go back in time, we used to get a charger, headphones, and all of the materials within the device’s box, but the firm gradually withdrew the earphones. The headphones gradually vanished from the smartphone’s packaging, and it now appears that the firm is attempting to remove the charger as well.

TelegramWhat does Google have to say about removing the charger?

According to Google, most customers already own a USB-C charging cable, therefore it’s no longer necessary to offer one with its phones. When Apple and Samsung revealed that they would no longer offer an in-box charger, they presented identical reasoning. That may be true, but the cost savings of not including a charger is likely to have played a significant part in those decisions.

Environmental Argument:

There’s also an environmental justification for removing the charger: reducing e-waste by shipping fewer redundant chargers to customers. That’s difficult to confirm, and it could just mean that the greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing and delivering additional chargers will be spread out across more companies as individuals purchase them from third-party manufacturers.

What is the customer’s reaction when the charger is removed?

From my perspective, this is not a good thing, because most of us rely on the charger that comes with the device, and we only expect to receive the charger. Typically, we purchase chargers only when the charger that came with the device fails.

If we consider it from a different perspective, if we are purchasing a new phone and selling our old one, we will also be giving our charger with it. So, if we purchase a new gadget, we will also need to purchase a new charger.

Assume that the manufacturer has released a new product that does not include a charger. Despite the fact that the corporation introduced that item by eliminating the cost of the charger, we still have to pay extra for a new charger.

What are your thoughts if the charger does not include with the device? Let us know in the comments.
