Starting at $1799.99, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is officially released: under-screen camera, IPX8 waterproof
Samsung held a new Galaxy product launch tonight and officially released its new flagship folding phone Galaxy Z Fold3. The machine supports IPX8 water resistance, is equipped with an under-screen camera, and supports S Pen.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is equipped with a 7.6-inch 2208 x 1768 Dynamic AMOLED screen with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and an under-screen front camera. It is also Samsung’s first under-screen camera phone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3’s under-screen front camera has a resolution of 4 megapixels f/1.8, the external screen’s front camera has a 10-megapixel f/2.2 lens, and the external screen is a 6.2-inch 862 x 2268 screen, which also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 has three rear cameras, including a 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a 12-megapixel 2x zoom lens. Among them, the main camera supports full-pixel dual-core focusing, OIS optical image stabilization, and the telephoto lens also supports OIS optical image stabilization.
the battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is reduced to 4400mAh (Z Fold2 is 4500mAh), and it supports 25W wired charging, 11W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse charging.
The biggest change of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is to support S Pen. Users can choose to purchase S Pen Pro and the new S Pen Fold Edition.
S Pen Fold Edition is slightly smaller than S Pen Pro and has no Bluetooth function, but it still allows air gestures. As in the case of Galaxy S21 Ultra, Fold3 does not have an S Pen slot, so users need to purchase a special protective case.
In addition, Samsung has also improved the multitasking function on the Galaxy Fold3. The user interface has been improved to make it easier to divide screens and interact with multiple applications. There is also a mini menu for switching applications quickly, without switching back and forth through buttons or gestures.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 has three color schemes-Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver. It is available in 256GB and 512GB storage versions, starting at US$1799.99 (approximately RMB 11,663.94) and US$1899.99 (approximately RMB 12,311.94). The S Pen Fold Edition is priced at US$49.99 (about 323.94 yuan), and the S Pen Pro is priced at US$99.99 (about 647.94 yuan).
