Just a day ago, the Chinese tech giant Huawei has shared the upcoming launch event promo poster which will be held on July 29, 2021, with the name – “Huawei New Flagship Product Launch”. In this event, we will get to see a lot of flagship devices of Huawei but the main highlight is the Huawei P50 series.

So as we know that, the Huawei P50 series could be launch with three models namely Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ as well as series will offer both network capacities such as 4G and 5G. On the other hand, all the devices will be powered by a HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system out of the box.

However, the upcoming P50 series has faced a lot of issues such as supply problems, chipset issues and that’s why the device launched has been delayed so many times. After facing these problems, the P50 series has replaced multiple rounds of solutions, the early version used a 6.3-inch flat screen, and the whole device was about 156.7 x 74 x 8.3 mm (including the rear camera bump, it was 10.6 mm), but the P50 finally the convex thickness of the rear lens of the version may be slightly smaller than that.

Furthermore, the P50 series is expected to use BOE screens, the P50 Pro+ may use its latest diamond-like arrangement of four-curved displays, while the Pro version may be a hyperboloid design. On the other side, the Weibo tipster has revealed the P50 and P50 Pro camera lens parameters information.

Regarding this matter, the news has exposed the lens parameters of both models, accordingly, the Huawei P50 Pro will use a VARIO-SUMMILUX-H1:1.8-3.4/18-125ASPH sensor, 5x telephoto, ultra-wide-angle 18mm, of which UX-H1 is model, Aperture f/1.8-3.4, focal length 18-125mm, ASPH refers to the use of aspherical lenses.

The base model of this series which is the Huawei P50 will use slightly lower specifications compared to the P50 Pro such as 13mm ultra-wide-angle, 3.5x telephoto.

As per the previous leaks, the Huawei P50 series will launch with three models namely Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro Plus. From the name of the models, it can be very easy to identify which device is better than which. Moreover, the Huawei P50 series will come with powerful hardware and software technologies.

The Huawei P50 series will come with both network 4G and 5G but in the first, the company could be launching its 4G variant of P50 and P50 Pro while the 5G models and P50 Pro Plus smartphone marketing followed by the company later.

As per the device display, the Huawei P50 smartphone will launch with a 6.1-6.2 inch, P50 Pro will come with a 6.6-inch and the P50 Pro Plus will be land with a 6.8-inch display size. In addition the device launch with a new 2.5k display resolution (1224 x 2696 pixels), and a screen body ratio close to 20:9 that brings a high-quality viewing experience.

Huawei’s big boss just hinted at exciting new things for their software in 2024! Expect fresh products built on their latest HarmonyOS NEXT system.

During the Fan Club (Pollen) Annual Conference 2023, Yu Chengdong announced that Huawei plans to reveal several advanced products next year. He also predicted the launch of HarmonyOS NEXT products and improved native application experiences in 2024.

The CEO didn’t share when exactly the new software and native applications would be released, but we can anticipate the official reveal to happen in early 2024.

Huawei needs to make HarmonyOS fully independent and essential without relying on Android libraries soon. Hopefully, the company will speed up its efforts in the coming days.

Many app developers, such as Alipay, McDonald’s, HiPaint, Bank of Communications, and others, have joined native app development for HarmonyOS. The goal is to create a strong app ecosystem independent of Android and iOS.

Huawei is set to offer HarmonyOS-based courses, with approval for 55 projects and over 10 universities planning to launch these courses soon.

Huawei plans to introduce apps in more than 18 categories, focusing on digital and financial sectors. According to Yu Chengdong, these native HarmonyOS applications aim to be smoother, smarter, safer, and more comprehensive compared to iOS and Android.

These Huawei Smartwatches Will Be Updated to HarmonyOS 4 in 2024

Huawei has announced a new rollout schedule for HarmonyOS 4 in Q1 2024, as several smartwatches are still waiting for the major software update.

Huawei released HarmonyOS 4 in early August, with new features and capabilities. The company initially announced a beta program for the Huawei Watch 4 series and completed the stable rollout to all users on November 1st.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 is the first Huawei smartwatch to come with HarmonyOS 4 pre-installed. Customers of this wearable get all of the new features out of the box. The latest super-premium Watch Ultimate Design still runs HarmonyOS 3, but it will also be updated to HarmonyOS 4 in Q1 2024.

Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro, which are relatively new, will receive the HarmonyOS 4 upgrade. This includes special edition and limited edition smartwatches as well. You can check the full list of eligible smartwatches getting this update in early 2024.
