The South Korean tech giant Samsung is ready to launch its new smartwatches under the name of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. Everyone is eager to get the first glimpse of it, but so far none of the render creators and leakers have shared its first image.
However, no information about the launch of both flagship devices presented by the company yet. But according to the report, these smartwatches can be launched between July and August.
On the other hand, a report has claimed that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 smartwatch will go on their first sale on August 11, 2021. If we believe this report, then it is absolutely certain that the upcoming Galaxy watch will be launched before August 11.
Apart from this, recently, the Galaxy Watch 4 has listed in the FCC’s database. As per the listing report, the watch will be launch with two variants which are the Wi-Fi version and LTE variants.
Among them, the Wi-Fi version is spotted with the model number SM-R880 and on the other side, the LTE version is listed as model number SM-885U. Also, the database shows the wearable device support dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GNSS positioning and Bluetooth connections.

The database hasn’t revealed its operating system, but it is fully confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 4 will run on Google’s WearOS 3.0 version which is replacing the Tizen OS. (previous smartwatch OS of Samsung)
On this upgraded version of Google, we have got to see a lot of new features that we will see in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4. With WearOS 3.0 you’re within this smartwatch can see Google Pay, Google Assistant, new third-party Tiles (widgets) and fitness tracking powered by Fitbit.
We are hoping to see these variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4:
- Galaxy Watch 4 42mm Bluetooth
- Galaxy Watch 4 46mm Bluetooth
- Galaxy Watch 4 42mm LTE
- Galaxy Watch 4 46mm LTE
As per the information, the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 will launch with a number of changes, new features and more. Below you can check some important features that we will be found in this smartwatch.
1. An ECG on day one:
Some of the Samsung Watches have already had an ECG (electrocardiogram) feature. For example, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 has these and in the launch event, the company has described it with watch advertised but after the sale, this feature has not been activated in it yet.
So, rumors have suggested that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 has ECG hardware and it will be activated on the watch after its launches.
2. More third-party apps:
We need third-party applications as much in smartphones as in smartwatches too. At present, there are very few watches that support a large number of third-party applications and Samsung’s watch still has Tizen OS which is the smaller operating version compared to Google’s WearOS.
We’re not sure how much apps supports in the Galaxy Watch 4 but the reports have indicated that the watch will come with a large amount of application that helpful for using more easy way and will find lots of things what you want to this watch.
3. A rotating bezel or crown:
The space of the smartwatches is very short and its interface is also a bit difficult to use by touch. Therefore a physical rotating bezel or crown button can be a great alternative option to operate the smartwatches.

We have already seen a rotating bezel option in the Galaxy Watch 3 but if we get to see the option of the crown button in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4, then it can be very beneficial. We have recently seen this crown button in the Huawei Watch 3 series which operates its Zoom-in and Zoom-out as well as other watch interfaces.
4. More power processor:
Most of the Samsung Galaxy Watch has launched with a powerful processor which has an Exynos 9110 chipset. As per the rumors report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be equipped with a 5nm chipset which provides a powerful processor inside the watch. An upgrade will also be provided by the company in its RAM, so the smartwatches feel like a slick, speedy, flagship device.
5. More accurate exercise tracking:
In the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4, we will see more options under the exercise department. Previous generation smartwatches of Samsung have already come with more features in the tracking health features and provides lots of modes such as running, cycling, swimming and more.
Consumers have face some issues for tracking even after that exercise is present in Samsung watches. For example, in the Galaxy Watch Active 2, users have track body crunches when the hand was extended far over the knees.
So, now in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4, these problems will not be encountered and all the exercise modes will be presented quite accurately.
6. Bigger battery:
The Galaxy Watch 3 users reported that the smartwatch has provides two days of battery backup when all its applications and all tracking features are used. The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with always-on display features but if this option turned off then the battery of the watch gets significantly improved.
The company is surely significantly improving the battery life in its upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 and it is also expected that users can use it for a long time even with the always-on display feature.

S26 Ultra Display Upgrade: Better Visuals, More Battery

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is gearing up for a next-generation display. According to a reliable tip, it could feature CoE OLED and “depolarization technology.” These innovations promise to deliver a noticeably clearer screen, extend battery life, and contribute to a sleeker overall design.
This new CoE OLED will make screens thinner and use less power, which means your phone’s battery could last longer! You will also see more vibrant colors and less annoying reflections on the screen, making everything look better.
Thanks to the new CoE OLED screen making light pass through better, the display uses less energy. This means your Galaxy S26 Ultra could actually last longer on a single charge than the S25 Ultra, even if they have the same size battery! Plus, because the screen itself will be thinner, the whole phone could end up with an even slimmer design.
CoE OLED:
CoE OLED replaces the legacy polarizer with a color filter and swaps the standard Pixel Definition Layer (PDL) with a black PDL. This change makes the display thinner and boosts light transmission, lowering power consumption.
Adding to the display improvements, a tipster mentioned the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a new, advanced third-generation CoE+ anti-reflective coating. This specific coating will further reduce the screen’s thickness and help trim down the phone’s overall weight, allowing Samsung to create a remarkably sleeker and more elegant S26 Ultra.
While the input comes from a trusted source, it remains unconfirmed till Samsung officially spills the beans. The next-gen flagship phones will launch in early 2026, which will bring some notable upgrades over the S25 series.
There’s a strong rumor that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might come with a new 200-megapixel camera sensor from Sony. This sensor could be almost one inch in size, which is a significant upgrade from Samsung’s current ISOCELL HP2 sensor. While some initially thought this big change might only happen with the S27 Ultra, current leaks suggest it’s a real possibility for the S26 Ultra.
Samsung’s head of mobile design recently talked about where phones are headed. He said that future products will focus on connecting all your devices together in a smart way. The Galaxy S26 series might be the first phone where the AI feels so natural, it’s almost like talking to a human.
