Sony PS5 Beta Software: Do You Want to try it out before it is released?

Sony PlayStation 5 September 2021 system update is now out, and it includes support for M.2 SSD storage capacity extension
The second significant system software update for the Sony PlayStation 5 was officially published today, according to the company’s official statment. New user experience features and personalization options, 3D sound effects from the TV’s built-in audio, and M.2 SSD storage capacity extension are all included in this version.

1. PS5 user experience enhancement:
New user experience features are included in the PS5 September update, allowing players to more easily browse, personalize, and manage game content and the console experience:
- Control center customization. Players can now customize their control center more freely by rearranging or selecting which controls to hide/unhide at the bottom of the screen.
- Enhanced Game Base. Players can now easily view and write information directly from the Game Base in the control center, and interact with friends.
When viewing Game Base in full screen, players can also view the number of friends who are online, busy, or offline, and accept, reject, or cancel multiple friend requests at once.
- The game save library and homepage screen is updated. If you have installed the PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game at the same time, they will now be displayed independently on the “Installed” tab of the game library and on the home screen. The icon of each game will now clearly identify its platform.
- Screen reading aid program control items. Players can now pause or resume the on-screen reading aid program (short press “PS + triangle button”) and have it repeat any content read (short press “PS + R1 button”).
2. New game and social experience customization:
- PlayStation Now resolution selector and connection test tool. PlayStation Now subscribers can choose 720p or 1080p (depending on individual games) as their preferred video resolution for game streaming. The streaming connection test can also help identify and troubleshoot any problems in the connection.
- New praise type: “Leader”. After the online battle, players can give other players a fourth type of praise “leader”, which will be displayed on the player’s personal profile.
- The automatic shooting of the “Personal Best Record” video. When the player achieves a better time score or higher score in the challenge and achieves a new personal best record, a short video of that moment will be automatically recorded. 3D audio support for TV built-in audio:
The September PS5 update adds support content that allows players to hear 3D sound effects through the TV’s built-in audio.
This capability, when selected in the [Sound] menu, converts conventional two-channel TV speaker audio to stereo, greatly increasing the game’s immersive experience. (Players can use the microphone on the DualSense wireless controller to assess room sound conduction and apply optimum 3D sound effects to their environment).
Additionally, players who own the Pulse 3D wireless headset set now get access to the equalization settings in the sound controls, allowing them to tailor the sound settings to their liking.
M.2 SSD storage space expansion:
PS5 players all over the world will be able to use M.2 SSDs to boost storage capacity as of today. It’s a high-speed solid-state drive that works with PS5 consoles and PS5 digital consoles.
The M.2 SSD storage space can be used to download, copy, or launch PS5 and PS4 games, as well as media applications, after being loaded on a PS5 or PS5 digital console. PS5 and PS4 games can be played straight from the M.2 SSD storage space, and games can be moved freely between storage alternatives.
