Huawei had introduced itsĀ  one more family member in the month of January 2018 and the company had given the name is Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite. Now since the launch, Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite users have got so many updates that are based on the EMUI, Android and monthly patch update.

Now the company has again started rolling out the new firmware update for Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite users. Currently, this update available in the European market and it is based on EMUI 8 which is the very older version of the EMUI. This update clearly indicated that the company has provided a lot of attention to its every gadget even those which is launch two years back also.

The latest software update comes with version number 8.0.0.360 (OCEC432) while the installation package size is 145MB. If we talk about the features, this update comes out with a smart charger mode option. Below you can check the changelog.

This update adds Smart Charge mode to slow down battery aging, which uses artificial intelligence to learn your charging habits and prevent continued charging when the battery is already fully charged.

The Smart Charge option can be found under Settings -> Battery -> More battery settings .
It is important that this function is activated by default.

To save the battery, enable the device to learn the charging routine and pause charging at 80% and continue if necessary.

Notes:

  1. Your personal data will not be deleted by the update. However, we recommend that you back up important data before updating.
  2. If you have problems during the update, call the Huawei customer service line or visit a Huawei customer service center.
  3. The update package will be automatically deleted when the update is complete.
