Strategy Analytics released a report saying that due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, China’s smartphone shipments in Q2 2022 will drop by 14% year-on-year to 67.7 million units.

According to Strategy Analytics, this is the first time Honor has taken the top spot in the domestic market since it split from Huawei in 2021. In Q2 2022, Honor will ship 13.1 million smartphones in China, significantly outpacing the overall market with an annual growth rate of 93%.
In addition, Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi followed with shipments of 12.7 million, 12.2 million, and 10.6 million units respectively.
The report pointed out that Apple’s iPhone shipped 10.4 million units in the quarter, ranking fifth. But it has rebounded strongly since June. Its shipments will only decline by 1% year-on-year in Q2 2022, significantly outperforming the overall market.
