OnePlus 9 pro

OnePlus has launched its smartphone every year with the latest technology and features. This year the company has launched its OnePlus 9 series which includes three smartphones namely the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9R. The company has created a partnership with the Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad.

Now in this article, we have talked about the OnePlus 9 Pro which is the best Android smartphone by the company as well as this year. Apart from the camera, the OnePlus 9 Pro has a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, powered by the Snapdragon 888 and its good power and audio experience. Now let’s explore the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone.

OnePlus 9 Pro has a very good desgin:

From the beginning, there is no doubt that the OnePlus 9 Pro is a flagship smartphone. The glass back panel and the protective layer on both sides of Gorilla Glass, the aluminum frame and the flawless finish make the phone design one of the most successful smartphone on the market.

The second thing is that it has a diagonal length of 6.7 inches and a weight of 197 grams (2 grams lighter than the predecessor). Therefore, the OnePlus 9 Pro is actually a large mobile phone, although its aspect ratio is 20: 9, it is not suitable for one-handed operation.

On the other hand, the height and width of the OnePlus 9 Pro are slightly smaller than those of the OnePlus 8 Pro, but the thickness is slightly thicker (0.2 mm more). The bezel around the screen is still good, the OnePlus reduces the curvature of the screen to avoid “touch omissions” when handling the screen. On the upper left of the panel, the smartphone has a photoelectric sensor is integrated into the form of discrete punches.

By flipping the back of the phone, you can see the biggest change in the design, the lens module. The latter is no longer centered, but in the upper left corner of the rectangle with rounded corners and mentions the Hasselblad brand. The design of the four lenses (with the three lenses on the OnePlus 9) is very coordinated. The lens module does not protrude too much from the case, but it is enough to make the phone shake when it is placed flat.

OnePlus 9 Pro has launched with three color options namely Arctic Sky, Astral Black, and Winter Mist shades. Now let’s see the Winter Mist shades, it has a mirror effect on the lower part and a “fog” effect on the upper part. A very successful effect, although it will inevitably leave fingerprints on the phone. Other greens and blacks have a matte effect, which should solve this problem to a large extent.

OnePlus 9 Pro Display

The aluminum frame perfectly matches the curvature of the screen and the back, providing a pleasant grip. On the right are the power button and the basic “alarm slider”, which can be quickly switched between different modes such as “ringing”, “vibrating” and “silent”. On the left edge, the position of the volume control button is slightly lower than that on the OnePlus 8 Pro, which makes it easier to press.

In the lower part, you can find the SIM card tray, USB-C connector and speaker grille. Finally, please note that the OnePlus 9 Pro has passed IP68 certification, making it waterproof and dustproof. In addition to excellent size, the OnePlus 9 Pro also demonstrated a successful and determined high-end design.

OnePlus 9 Pro has a top display quality:

OnePlus 9 Pro is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Perfectly mastered technology can provide infinite contrast for products, and perfectly cover sRGB and Display P3 color space and 10-bit color depth. By default, the screen is calibrated to the “Vivid” preset that displays vivid colors. If you want a slightly more neutral rendering, I suggest you set it to “Natural”, or just use the advanced mode to adjust the temperature and color according to your preferences.

The automatic brightness can reach 1300 nits, which allows the OnePlus 9 Pro to be used perfectly in all environmental conditions including strong sunlight. The maximum QHD+ resolution that the screen can display is 3120 x 1440 pixels, but the display is Full HD+ (2412 x 1080 pixels).

The OnePlus 9 Pro screen also benefits from an adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, which uses the LTPO technology of the OLED display, which is more efficient than LTPS or IGZO. Specifically, this means that the screen refresh rate is adapted to the content displayed in real-time. Therefore, if you don’t scroll to read text or view photos, the refresh rate may drop to 1 Hz, if you watch videos, the refresh rate may drop to 24 Hz, and as high as 120 Hz when browsing the web or swiping.

OnePlus also considers gamers, offering a “super touch” option, which synchronizes the speed between the processor and the screen to 360 Hz. Once activated, this option can improve the response time and the stability of the selected game’s frames per second.

OnePlus 9 Pro perform with Snapdragon 888:

OnePlus smartphones have always been known for their performance, and the OnePlus 9 Pro is no exception. Not surprisingly, the Snapdragon 888 processor is impressive. The 5-nanometer process has increased Qualcomm’s CPU performance by 25% and GPU performance by 35%. This has been verified by benchmark tests, making OnePlus smartphones easily among the best phones on the market.

When you playing games with the OnePlus 9 Pro, you will not face any type of issue like heated and freeze problems. Compared with the OnePlus 8T, the cooling system of the phone seems to work well.

OnePlus 9 Pro has an excellent Audio speaker:

OnePlus 9 Pro has stereo speakers and the first is on the lower edge while the second is at the top of the screen. The sound rendering of the latter is somewhat blurred due to its smaller opening. Moreover, with up to 70% distortion rate, the listening effect is still very good. The smartphone has also passed the “Dolby Atmos” certification. In short, this is a good surprise.

On the other hand, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this smartphone. You will have to go through a USB-C headset or wireless headset. The OnePlus 9 Pro is compatible with Bluetooth 5.2 and utilizes the aptXHD codec to enjoy good listening quality.

OnePlus 9 Pro camera specification:

In recent years, OnePlus has lagged behind its competitors in photography on its high-end smartphones. Aware of this weakness, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 9 series through cooperation with the iconic Swedish camera brand Hasselblad. In terms of photography, Hasselblad is known for its NASA equipment in 1969, and the company uses its camera to take pictures on the moon.

OnePlus mainly requires Hasselblad’s expertise in photography, especially in color calibration. OnePlu 9 Pro is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX 789 wide-angle lens (equivalent to 23mm), 50MP Sony IMX 766 super wide-angle (equivalent to 14mm), 8MP telephoto lens, 2MP monochrome and 16MP Sony IMX471 front camera.

OnePlus 9 Pro Camera

Wide-angle camera:

By default, this 48MP pixel main lens uses 4-in-1 pixel limit technology to take 12-megapixel photos. This technology combines 1.12µm pixels to simulate larger 2.1µm pixels, which can retain more light to improve Image Quality.

The sharpness is excellent, the dynamic range is well managed, and the natural colors perfectly reflect what our eyes see. The white balance has also been well adjusted to obtain an overall realistic rendering effect, which perfectly emphasizes the scene without being excessive.

Even in harsh conditions, such as a backlight with very low sunlight, the OnePlus 9 Pro can do this well, even if the phenomenon of “flares” (light reflections) occurs when light is irradiated.

If you want to shoot a well-lit scene and want more details on the image, you may need to use the “high resolution” (48MP pixels) mode. Indeed, when you zoom in on the details of the image, you can get better details. On the other hand, compared with the default mode (12MP pixels), some contrast is lost.

Ultra wide-angle and macro camera:

Compared with the OnePlus 8 Pro, the ultra-wide-angle sensor has been completely revised. Here, the Sony IMX766 sensor and software optimization function can provide true color continuity between wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle with almost zero distortion. The sensor is equivalent to 14 mm, and when you want to photograph the largest element in the scene, it has excellent versatility compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro, just like the case above.

The ultra-wide-angle sensor is also responsible for taking photos in macro mode. The sharpness of 50MP pixels allows you to zoom in on the image to see the important level of detail. The minimum focal point is 4 cm.

Night view photos:

The main lens allows you to retain good quality details to take high-quality night photos. However, the OnePlus 9 Pro night view camera result is still lower than the best mobile phone cameras on the market, such as the Huawei P40 Pro.

“Night” mode requires more light, which can limit the rise in ISO, thus bringing more detail to the shot. The difference from the automatic mode is not much, but considerable.

Telephoto and zoom mode plus monochrome:

The 8-megapixel telephoto lens can achieve 3.3x zoom (equivalent to 77 mm) and has optical stability. The results are convincing and the details are well preserved. By pushing up the x10 zoom (digital), the photos can maintain a good quality level.

Unfortunately, the color accuracy is lost with a fairly obvious “fading” effect. OnePlus is also interesting, adding a “tilt change” mode, which blurs the end of the photo, making the scenery or objects in the center look like a miniature. .

Monochrome lens used in conjunction with the main lens can provide an extra layer and take black and white images. For creative photographers, this is an interesting choice.

OnePlus 9 Pro shotting details:

OnePlus 9 Pro can record 4K video at up to 120 FPS or 8K video at 30 FPS. In the latter mode, the 21:9 aspect ratio cannot be used. “Super stable” mode can be used under 1080p @ 30FPS or 4K @ 30 FPS. The “Video Portrait” mode with blurred background is available at 1080p @ 30FPS. Finally, the “night scene” mode can improve the video quality in darker scenes, but it is only suitable for the main lens (wide angle).

OnePlus 9 Pro Battery details:

The OnePlus 9 Pro has a 4500 mAh battery, which is 10 mAh less than the 8 Pro. Considering the features of the smartphone and the 6.7-inch ultra-bright QHD+ display, this is not a lot of capacity. If you select the Full HD+ resolution (the default setting) because it is not much different from QHD+ on this size screen. The adaptive 120 Hz mode is also activated to enjoy foolproof fluidity and responsiveness.

If you have used your OnePlus 9 Pro whole day and playing the mobile games like FreeFire and PUBG so you can shown after the 30 miniutes the screen display time is very short, it takes about 5 hours to drop to 15%.

Moreover, if you watching videos, browsing the Internet and listening to music, the smartphone reaching 50% of the battery in a day.

Therefore, the average battery level of the OnePlus 9 Pro can last a full day without any problems. However, OnePlus has improved the excellent 65W wired charging head. In just 15 minutes, it will change the battery power of the smartphone from 15% to 62%. It takes 30 to 35 minutes to fully charge! OnePlus 9 Pro is also compatible with 50W wireless charging.

Summrey of the OnePlus 9 Pro:

OnePlus 9 Pro is a high-end mobile phone that hardly makes any concessions. Every year, OnePlus will take advantage of these previous models and gradually improve their disadvantages. This year, thanks to the partnership with Hasselblad, OnePlus has made a major leap in the field of photography, but there is still room for improvement in night shooting.

On the other hand, we regret that the power of OnePlus 9 Pro has not fulfilled its promise. It takes a day to half a day at most, and it even lags behind the OnePlus 8 Pro. For the rest, it is perfect. From high-quality design to perfect screen, impressive performance, and even speakers with very good sound quality.

Huawei’s Pura 80 Series Gets Extreme Battery Upgrade

Published

Huawei Pura 80

Huawei’s Pura 80 series is a prime example of both exceptional camera technology and outstanding battery endurance. The company has continually pushed the boundaries of smartphone battery life, and these recently launched devices clearly demonstrate that achievement.

Batteries are a crucial part of smartphones. Reason? They offer a portable power source that lets your handset run and function seamlessly throughout the day.

Huawei has really stepped up its game when it comes to smartphone batteries. Over the past few years, they’ve worked hard to prevent issues like quick draining. They’ve also made charging much faster, boosting it from 66W to 80W, and now even to 100W.

Huawei Pura 80 Series:

Battery:

The Pura 80 series has four different models. Usually, companies put bigger batteries in their top-tier phones and smaller ones in the entry-level versions. However, this time, Huawei did things a bit differently.

It is a bit unusual this time. Huawei gave the Pura 80 Ultra, Pro+, and Pro a 5700mAh battery. The basic Pura 80 still gets a big 5600mAh battery. So, all the new Pura 80 phones have excellent battery capacity.

The Pura 80 Ultra and Pro models come with a huge 5700mAh battery, promising a super long battery life. Even the standard Pura 80 boasts an extra-large battery and super-fast charging. This means you can use these phones for hours without worrying about them running out of power.

Comparatively:

huawei

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra had the biggest battery in its family, at 5200mAh. Here’s what the other models in that series had:

  • Pura 70 Pro+: 5050mAh
  • Pura 70 Pro: 5050mAh
  • Pura 70: 4900mAh

Pura 80 Series:

Charging:

For the higher-end Pura 80 Ultra, Pro+, and Pro models, you get:

  • Super fast wired charging: 100W
  • Wireless charging: 80W
  • Reverse wired charging: 18W (meaning you can use your phone to charge another device with a cable)

However, the standard Pura 80 model has slightly different charging speeds:

  • Wired charging: 66W
  • Wireless charging: 50W
  • Reverse wired charging: 5W
  • It also has reverse wireless charging.

The previous Pura 70 series generally offered 100W wired, 18W wired reverse, 80W wireless, and 20W wireless reverse charging.

Even the basic Pura 80 model, with its 5600mAh battery, offers seriously fast charging: 66W wired, 5W wired reverse (to charge other devices with a cable), and 50W wireless. It also has wireless reverse charging, so you can charge other wireless devices just by placing them on the phone.

Pura 70 series supported a 100W wired, 18W wired reverse, 80W wireless, and 20W wireless reverse charging. The standard model has the same specs as the Pura 80 series.

Android 16 released, when is Samsung One UI 8 coming?

Published

on

By

Android 16

Android 16 is here now, and it came out sooner than expected on June 10, 2025. But if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you’ll still have to wait a bit longer for One UI 8.

Samsung is working fast on a test version of One UI 8. However, the final version for everyone to use might still be a month or two away. It is  likely that the official release will happen around the same time Samsung launches its new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. Let’s see what this means for Samsung phone users.

The first test version of Android 16 came out in January 2025. Google worked very quickly, and because of that, a really good version of Android 16 is ready much earlier than usual. It has smoother movements, better AI features, and stronger security.

Android 16’s first test version came out in January 2025.Google worked fast, so Android 16 is ready early. It has smoother animations, better AI, and stronger security.

For Samsung, this early release of Android 16 is both good and a bit tricky. The company has been working closely with Google to make sure their own software, One UI 8, works well with the new Android 16. This teamwork is really helping them out.

Samsung says One UI 8 will be out “this summer” (June-August) in the US. However, while Google’s Pixel phones already have Android 16, Galaxy users are still in the test phase or waiting for the official release.

Samsung wasted no time kicking off the One UI 8 Beta Program, launching it on May 28, 2025, for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US. This is Samsung’s earliest beta release yet.

Samsung has confirmed that the stable One UI 8 update will first come on their new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, when they launch this summer. These new foldables will have One UI 8 and Android 16 right away. Other Galaxy phones will get the One UI 8 update shortly after the foldables are released.

Android 16

The Galaxy S25 series, which is already in the beta testing program, could see the stable update as early as August, with the S24, S23, and other flagships like the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 close behind.

Why the Wait?

Android 16 is here, but Galaxy users still wait for One UI 8. That’s because One UI 8 adds Samsung’s own new features, like a better Now Brief and Quick Share. Testing these on all Samsung phones takes time.

Samsung is making sure One UI 8 is better by testing it early and rolling it out in stages. This avoids the problems they had with One UI 7, giving all users a more stable update, even if it takes a bit more time.

What’s Next for Galaxy Users?

If you have an S25 and are in a test region, you can join the One UI 8 Beta now.

Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for the final release.

The new Galaxy Z Fold7 or Z Flip7 will have One UI 8 already installed when they launch, probably in late July or early August.

For everyone else, keep an eye on the Samsung Members app for news on when you will get it.
