Samsung has begun to distribute the Android 12 major update to Galaxy A11 smartphone users. This is the final major update for Samsung’s Galaxy A11 smartphone, which is a lower-end device that debuted with the Android 10 operating system.
With firmware version A115FXXU3CVI3, the Galaxy A11 receives the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update. It also includes the August 2022 security patch, which addresses a number of privacy and security flaws. The new software update is currently being rolled out in Sri Lanka, with other countries expected to follow suit in the coming days.
Galaxy A11 key features:
The Samsung Galaxy A11 has a 6.4-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1560 720, weighs 177 grams, supports dual SIM card functions, and has a fingerprint sensor on the back. In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A11 has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, a built-in 4000mAh battery, supports 15W fast charging, 3GB of memory and 32GB of body storage, a USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 4.2 support. The Samsung Galaxy A11 has an 8MP front camera and a 13MP (f / 1.8) + 5MP (f / 2.4) + 2MP (f / 2.2) triple camera on the back.
Galaxy A11 gets more features with the Android 12/One UI 4.1:
The Android 12 update brings color palettes to the Galaxy A11. It can extract primary colors from phone wallpapers and apply them to various UI elements. Samsung has also improved widget styling and the UI design of the widget picker. Users can directly select the audio output when the screen is locked and add more widgets there. Dark Mode has been improved, and there are new charging animations. Brightness and volume sliders are now larger and easier to use.

Samsung has improved all built-in apps on the Galaxy A11 with the Android 12 update. The camera app is now purer and gets a portrait mode for pets. Video recording starts as soon as the user touches the shutter button.
The Albums app now includes improved Stories, improved album categorization and arrangement, and the ability to edit or delete personal information (date, location, and time) from images. The Gallery app can even recreate old or blurry photos. The Album Photo Editor feature now saves edit history, allowing edits to be undone or redone without erasing the original file.
The Samsung keyboard now features Grammarly-supported language suggestions, quick access to emojis and GIFs, and clipboard protection. One UI Core 4.1 brings improvements to the share menu. You can now prioritize what you want to see in the share menu, navigate easily, and get tips to edit images before sharing.
The Calendar app has new widgets, the ability to quickly add events, and better search options. It’s also easier to share your calendar with others. Date and time selection is now easier and even deleted events can be recovered. The updated Samsung Internet web browser brings faster search suggestions, new home screen components, and the ability to launch in private mode.
The Device Maintenance section now displays more information at a glance. Include the overall status of the phone and diagnose problems with the phone. Samsung has also added more accessibility features, including customizable flash notifications, the ability to edit blur/transparency effects, and always-available floating buttons.
Other new features include resizable picture-in-picture mode, quick-access popup options, an enhanced Edge panel, and the ability to skip an alert once. Search has also been improved in the Messages, My Files, and Settings apps.

WhatsApp beta update brings block screenshot feature for Android users

WhatsApp is constantly improving its services for Android and iOS users. The latest update includes some useful features for users, which we found to be truly amazing. The developers have now begun to distribute the new beta update for WhatsApp, which is currently available for Android users.
WhatsApp has received a new beta update 2.22.22.3, which you can download and test on your Android device. The most recent beta update to this app includes a new privacy feature that allows users to block screenshots in certain scenarios.
WhatsApp Beta version 2.22.22.3 for Android:
Mark Zuckerberg announced in the summer that some new privacy-related features would be introduced soon, one of which was screenshot blocking.
With the latest beta version, this function has been made available to some testers, for which a new system for displaying images and videos that disappear (i.e. that can only be seen once) is introduced, capable of preventing people from taking a screenshot or video recording of the screen is introduced.
Take a Look Here:

These screenshots show a black screen, which is exactly what users will see if they try to take a screenshot or record a screen video of images and videos shared by others using the one-time view option.
However, keep in mind that, despite this security feature, users can still take screenshots of conversations even if they contain some messages that disappear (this is because the new functionality is limited to viewing images and videos) and that disappearing photos and videos can always be “captured” through another device’s camera.
Basically, the advice is to use the option to send photos and videos with a single view with great care, as any sensitive and/or confidential content could be equally at risk. At the moment there is no information on when this new feature will be made available to all users.
How to download the new beta version of the app:
If you want to try the latest version of WhatsApp Beta for smartphones based on the Google mobile operating system, you have the possibility to do it through the Google Play Store, by subscribing to the beta testing channel (you can find the page dedicated to this program by following this link).
Those who have not managed to sign up for the beta program but would like to try this version of the messaging app in a preview can do so by manually installing the relative APK file, which can be downloaded from APK Mirror (find the dedicated page by following this link).

Lock Screen Customization: Samsung One UI 3.0 beta vs Apple iOS 16

Apple released the iPhone 14 series earlier this month, which includes the iOS 16 operating system. In addition, Samsung has made the One UI 5.0 operating system compatible with Android 13 available to eligible devices. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are now available with new lock screen customization and the Dynamic Island feature. On the other hand, One UI 5.0 beta 3 includes lock screen customization for Galaxy S22 series users.
Meanwhile, the Smart Island feature has been made available to Android users via third-party applications such as dynamicSpot, and it is fully functional on Android devices. The lock screen customization, on the other hand, has arrived for Galaxy S22 users with the One UI 5.0 beta update and is very similar to the iOS 16 lock screen customization.
According to Twitter tipster TechDroider, the custom Samsung lock screen process in the One UI 5 Beta 3 system is similar to Apple’s iOS 16. Samsung currently offers five different clock styles, whereas Apple offers eight. The user can also change the color of the clock in both operating systems.

We discovered that when it comes to adding new wallpapers, both operating systems offer background collections that are highlighted in a similar manner. While Apple provides both built-in and third-party widgets, Samsung currently only provides widget icons for notifications.
Following the release of the iPhone 14/Pro series, Samsung mocked Apple for being out of touch with the concept of folding screens, large-pixel cameras, and so on.
