Galaxy S25 Edge

The Samsung S25 Edge has a 200MP camera with a special 10x zoom that uses AI. This new slim phone keeps its sleek look because of this camera.

The S25 Edge phone has a 200MP camera and a 10x AI zoom feature. Samsung mentioned this in the news for the US, but not in the news for other parts of the world when they showed the phone.

This phone has a 200MP main camera with OIS and F1.7 for good photos. It also has a 2x clear zoom, so you don’t really miss having a zoom lens. Plus, with AI, the 10x zoomed pictures look really good with bright colors.

Samsung’s smart AI system, called Galaxy AI and ProVisual Engine, makes the zoom work well. It uses special tricks to make zoomed-in pictures clearer and less fuzzy. This means the 10x zoom is actually useful for taking photos every day because they’ll still look good.

The S25 Edge is for people who care about having a phone that’s not bulky and looks cool. The 10x AI Zoom is really useful for everyday photographers who want to zoom in on things in the distance. If you’re a professional who needs super clear zoom (optical zoom), you might prefer the S25 Ultra. But the Edge is a good mix of design and how it works.

Samsung has also been talking about their “AI Zoom” feature, which will be part of their Android 15-based One UI 7 software. Their latest Galaxy phones can already use this to make zoomed-in pictures look better. Samsung has specifically said that this will be on the S25 Edge.

New Android for Galaxy S23 is being tested

Samsung Galaxy S23

The Galaxy S23 phones are getting a test version of the next Android update. Samsung might let users try it out later this year.

Someone saw the Samsung S23 phone using the new Android software (One UI 8) on a website called Geekbench. This is the first time we have seen proof that the S23 is getting Android 16.

The newest Samsung phones from last year (like the S23) can get the new Android software. Even the phones from the year before that (like the S22) will also get it. But only the S23 phones in some countries will be able to test it first.

The Geekbench website also showed that the basic Galaxy S23 was a phone from a US company. It got some numbers in tests. It will probably get faster after they work on the software more.

Every Galaxy S23 phone has a really fast chip made by Qualcomm. Because they started improvement the new software early, it means the update will probably come out before too long.

All S23 phones use a fast chip all over the place . They started making the new software better early, so the big update should come soon.Early starting point of software improve suggests that users won’t have to wait too long to receive the next major firmware upgrade.

After the US version, Samsung will soon start making the software good for phones sold all over the world and in Korea. News says the real One UI 8 will fall out in July. But you might get to try a test version sooner, maybe in the next few weeks.

The One UI 8 update will make the phone look and feel a bit different and better. Samsung is also working on making the apps and important features look nicer and work even better than the last update (One UI 7, which uses Android 15).

Samsung promotes One UI 7 features

Promoting One UI 7 Features

Samsung’s “Things to Know” series now promotes the new One UI 7 features, after a long test period.Samsung’s plan is to clarify important software features and show how they help after you buy their products.

Given that the update extend was a bit slow for some, this promotion is logical for Samsung as they’ve already updated many of their past flagship, foldable, and tablet devices. This includes the Galaxy S24 phones, the newer foldables (Z Fold 6 and Flip 6) and the older ones (Z Fold 5 and Flip 5), plus the S23 phones and the S23 FE. They have also updated the Galaxy Tab S10 and S9 tablets.

Samsung thinks this is their “most advanced update ever.” It has changes like a new design and animations that run more smoothly. These are the two main things people talk about.

Nevertheless, the “Things to Know” series from Samsung does not  focus on those changes. It is all about features like the Now Bar.This new function gives you live updates without unlocking your phone. You can tap on it to see more details.

One UI 7 changes the voice assistant to Google Gemini instead of Google Assistant. Gemini will be the first thing you see when you need help, but you can still pick Bixby.

Some phones, like the S24, let you search for settings using everyday language. This helps you find features by just typing related words, even if you don’t know the setting’s exact name.

Many of the new things in One UI 7 are Galaxy AI features, such as tools that help you select things, write better, and improve photos. These features use the phone’s smarts to give you an AI experience.

Samsung is still working on software updates for their recently released best phones. They will also update their mid-range and other phone lines in the next few months.
