Rumor: Top Chinese phone makers to make ready in advance “Ultra” phones with 50 MP periscope and 10x optical zoom.

Since Huawei  Pura 80 series, with the ‘Ultra’ variant, is also in the making and may debut in the first half of this year, we can expect it to feature a 10x optical zoom camera. We don’t know which phones will get this zoom tech, so it’s not confirmed for the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra.

Even though Huawei’s P50 and Mate 50 had less zoom (3.5x), it looks like they’re trying to impress photo lovers again with better zoom.

Huawei reveled the 10x optical zoom with the P40 Pro Plus smartphone. It authorized users to get much closer to the subject, defeating the iPhone 11 Pro 2x and Samsung  S20 Ultra’s 4x optical camera in the consumer market.

The Pura 80 is the upcoming top-tier phone from Huawei, possibly launching in August with major design and camera changes.

Huawei has promised to launch incredible smartphones this year. With that in mind, we might witness a 10x optical zoom camera with the Pura 80 Ultra handset. Though these details still require an official confirmation by the company.

has big plans for new smartphones this year, a high-ranking employee revealeHuaweid, after the Pura X foldable.

Richard Yu, who’s in charge of Huawei’s consumer stuff, had a talk with the popular actors Huang Bo and Ma Dong. They met at the Shanghai Auto Show in a HarmonyOS Smart Living Room display.

The three of them discussed things like smart vehicles, the AITO M9, the recently released Pura X foldable, and some really attractive devices that are on the way.

Ma Dong wanted to know what the approaching smartphones would be like. Richard answered that Huawei’s goal is to be the innovation leader and hinted at some breathtaking smartphone launches this year that are unspeakable what people expect.

I’ve consistently told our team to aim for revolutionary products, to be courageous and create things that others haven’t even conceived of, and to even think about products that might seem impossible or too risky to consider.

Is a new generation of tri-fold phones on the way?

Huang Bo steered the conversation towards the next tri-fold phone. He asked if a second version would be self-disclosure.

Instead of giving any information or directly talking about the new phone that folds in three ways, the Chairman kept it a secret and said:

Huawei’s senior person tried to steer clear of details about the next phone that folds in three. But his comments indicate that the company has many new ‘amazing’ smartphones in progress and could launch them separately in the upcoming month.

After the Pura X, the Pura 80 series appears to be the next to launch. We might also see the Nova 14 series come out before the big flagship phones.

Last year in September, Huawei surprised everyone by reintroduce the Mate XT, the world’s first phone that could fold into three parts. Its special folding and solid build led to more than 3 million people wanting to buy it quickly. It will be interesting to see what the next generation model changes.
